The Sugar Shrub was a magical plant used to produce sugar or a similar sweetener. Madam Rosmerta, owner of the Three Broomsticks Inn in Hogsmeade, brewed a special type of extra-sweet Butterbeer made with this plant.
Sugar Shrubs were grown in the greenhouses at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
