February 7 ( Friday )

I was really tired when I woke up today! I wasn't gonna wake up but my sister came banging into my room with her drums.

" Guess what's today? " she said.

" What? " I said feeling really tired.

" It's talent day! I'm gonna play little red riding hood's role! Isn't this amazing?! " she said excitedly.

" Ya...... just...... can you go play your drums somewhere else?! " I said. I think I was about to fall asleep but then she said:

" It's after two hours and mum said you're gonna come to watch me! " she said.

" Ya........" Then I jolted awake " wait, what? Why can't she take you? " I asked.

" She said she had some important calls to do today. C'mon it's not gonna be that bad! " she said.

Then my mum called me " Hey, Mandy! Can you come here for a sec?"

I could barely open my eyes. I found her in the living room.

" Mandy, I have some really important people coming to have dinner with us tonight. So I need you to go to the talent show with Your sister then when you finish, just run down the street and get me those things on the list I need for cooking dinner... ok, I know I know it's a lot, but, can you just do them for me? " she said looking me straight into the eye.

" Ya........ " Then I yawned " Sure! ".

I took the list from her then went and got dressed.

I took a taxi to reach the talent building as it was a bit far. When we reached, there were a lot of children wearing costumes that represent heroes in different stories like:

Cinderella, sleeping beauty, Jack ( From Jack and the giant beanstalk ), Hansel and Gretel. My sister herself was wearing her red dress with the hoody on top of her head and holding the basket full of cakes and milk.

" Come on, we don't wanna be late! " she said.

There was a mother giving out free popcorn to whoever entered, so I took one and we entered.

The stage was enormous! I left my sister preparing herself with the rest of her classmates and her teacher. There was still half an hours before the show began, so I went and sat with the audience. After a while somebody came and sat beside me. I looked at her.

" Julia?! " I said.

" Mandy?! "

" Hiiii!!" We said, then we hugged each other.

" Your sister is acting here too?! " I asked her.

" Ya! What are you doing after it? " she asked

" I have to go buy some stuff for dinner, what about you? " I said.

" Nothing, I can come with you! " she said.

" Great! "

Then we noticed somebody was speaking on the stage as the mic made this weird sound. " Hello everyone! We, the first graders, are going to play different roles in different fairy tales today! We're going to start by Cinderella! Hope you all enjoy! " said the little girl.

A beautiful girl wearing Cinderella's blue dress appeared on stage. Then the narrator started: " Once upon a time in a faraway land, there was a tiny kingdom, peaceful and rich in romance and tradition. Here in a stately chateau, lived a widowed gentleman and his little daughter Cinderella. The father felt Cinderella needed a mother so he got married to a woman who had two daughters that were cinderella's age, by name, Anastasia and Drizella. " then two young ladies came on stage and vowed in front of the audience. The narrator completed " It was upon the death of Cinderella's father, that the step mother's true nature was revealed. She was jealous of Cinderella's charm and beauty. Cinderella was abused, humiliated and finally forced to become a servant in her own house. " Then the play started and I think I fell asleep.

" Mandy......... wake up! It's time to go! " said Julia.

" How was I? " asked me Mennah as we sat in the taxi.

" Amazing! " I said. Then Julia looked at me the did-you-even-watch-it look and I gave her a cheesy smile & looked at the list in my hand.

" Did I play the role of tangled good? " asked me Julia's sister.

" Uuummm........ Good! " I said. ( I didn't even know she was acting as tangled )

" Stop here, taxi! " I said. I gave him the money and we got out of the taxi.

" Ok! I think it's better if we drop our sisters at my home. We don't want any trouble. " I said

The last time my sister came shopping for food with me she broke three cartons of eggs and broke a bottle of milk!

When we got all the stuff on the list, Julia's mum came to sit with my mum for a while then they went home. I, myself, sat in my room on the phone until dinner.

" Mandy, dinner's ready! " said mum.

I put on a green dress and a pair of slippers, then did my hair a messy bun and went out to the dining room. Five fashionable woman, my mum and my sister were sitting there.

" Hi! " I said as I grabbed a seat and sat down.

" Hey, so you must be Mandy! " one of them said. I nodded with a smile.

" I'm your mother's boss and I have to say, I really love you sense of style! " said the other.

" Thanks! " I said. I grabbed my plate and put some spaghetti.

" You know, I think one day, you can be just like your mother! " the third one said. She looked very familiar to me.

" Did I see you somewhere before? " I asked her.

" Well, I did. I saw you hand the purple hat to your mum before the show. I was with her in the fashion show! " she said

" Oh! " I said.

Then they started talking to my mum about the next fashion show.
