Prologue

It was normal for the Esdras family to be alone. Secluded in a small cabin in the depths of the thick forest where no one goes. It had been that way for many years. Especially since the birth of their only daughter who's now a cheerful and bright 9 year old. The child was very special to them and everyone else. Everyone but herself knew just how strong she will become in the coming years.
Despite her parents being the only interactions she has day to day, the child is full of life and excitement of everyday things.
"Lele, breakfast is ready" Precious, a beautiful young lady and the mother of the child, called in her thick ethiopian accent.
She was always kind to everyone she'd come across, though they don't meet many people anymore.
She smiled as she heard little giggles coming towards the kitchen. A small figure in white jeans overalls and space buns emerged through the door frame, her bare feet thumped lightly on the white tiled floor. A giant grin was pasted on her face. Her royal blue eyes shone with a mischievous glint while she kept looking back at the door.
"What did you do?" The girl giggles.
The question was answered when her father, Dimitrius, walked through the door. Both Precious and the child burst into a fit of laughter. Dimitrius looked confused at first until it hit him. It wasn't the first time she had done something like this before. His face was covered in silly little drawings, a curly mustache and a goatee.
Dimitrius and Precious were once the most powerful couples in the supernatural world. They were well known and respected by everyone. They were known to keep peace and safety throughout the community. However, all of that had ended once the humans got involved. Ever since the humans had found out about the supernaturals they have been attacking anyone and everyone who they suspect. Since they had gotten the word of just how powerful the child is, they are now on the lookout for her but they will do everything in their power to keep their daughter safe, even if it means they have to give up their lives.
But it was only them who knew about their location. Or so they thought.
After breakfast, the girl started getting bored of being in the house. She begged her mother to let her play outside. Precious sighed and looked at the innocent child sympathetically.
"You can't go out there Lele, it's too dangerous." She was disappointed.
"How about we make some cupcakes instead?" Her mum suggested.
Precious was aware how unhealthy it was to keep a child cooped up inside all the time, but it was only way no one would find her.
"Okay" she agreed and ran to get all the ingredients.
While they were making the brownies, there was a wave of uneasiness that went through them. The child brushed it off but it stayed with Precious. The worry occupied her as she was taking the brownies out of the oven.
both her parents were aware of the potential danger.
They both walked over to the girl.
"Lele, do you remember where I told you to hide when we played the hiding games?" Lele nodded.
"Why don't you go hide and daddy and I will see if we can find you?"
Her parents knew this would happen. It was only a matter of time until they were found again so they built a hideaway under the ground. They had drills which were called 'the hiding game'. It was the only way not to terrify the poor child.
The hideaway was a square about 8 feet into the ground. It was a tight space but it was easy to disguise with all the fallen branches and leaves. The inside wasz tiled so that there wouldn't be any dirt, although that doesn't stop it from falling inside. A few bugs make it into the place here and then but the girl had grown fond of them. It made her feel like she wasn't alone. There was a few months worth of canned food and water stored in the place, however she had never needed them.
She grew very suspicious when the sun was setting and her parents hadn't come and found her. She cautiously peaked out of the bars to see if anyone was there. Once she deemed the coast was clear, climbed out of the hideaway and ran to the cabin.
the breath caught up in her throat at the sight in front of her. The place that was once a warm and loving home was now covered in red. And her parents were on the floor. She looked at the same bundle of white hair that was her fathers. She ran up to him but there was no hope. He was gone. Her father was gone.
"Lele" her mother croaked. She was struggling to keep her eyes open.
"Mama" the girl cried.
"You need to leave." But the girl shook her head. She wasn't leaving her parents behind. She didn't know where to go or what to do.
"You need to leave this place. It's.... It's dangerous here for y-you" Precious let out a series of coughs before trying to continue. "I know you'll find your way. You're a very smart girl. Go child."
That was the last time she had ever seen her mothers smile.
