"Leilani..... Leilani" A soft voice whispers in the early morning silence.
Leilani slowly forces her eyes to open. If there is one thing she can't do in this place it is to be resting. She drags herself off of the thin, so-called mattress and towards the sink.
"Come on. Its 4am. We have to get breakfast ready before they lose their shit" The other woman, Gianna, rolls her eyes while making her way to the sink in the corner of the room.
Their room was the basement of the pack house. It was small and crammed. There were plenty of useless storage boxes filled with old decorations and whatnot that have been dumped in there throughout the years. More so just to give the two a hard time. Although they don't take up much room from all the years of starvation and malnourishment, it was a struggle for them to get around the items in their way.
The two were the only Omegas in the pack at the young age of 13. Each day it was the same routine. Make breakfast for the pack, clean the whole house (not a speck of dust to be left behind or there will be consequences), make lunch, clean up after everyone is done and come back to make dinner.
They do not eat with the pack. They are considered to be low measly creatures that should be looked down upon. While Gianna has shifted only once since she got her wolf, Leilani has never shifted. There are no signs of her being a supernatural creature. She is just a weak, delicate human in the eyes of the Alpha and his son.
"We need to get these done before 6. I'll start on the pancakes and waffles. You start making the french toast and the eggs." Gianna commanded while walking towards the cupboards to get all the ingredients. She had always been quite the connoisseur. The was a slight peace to her face while she was cooking. Obviously in places like they were both in, you'd need to find ways to cope. For Gianna, it was baking. For Leilani, it was Gianna.
Ever since she stumbled on the pack ground as a child. she had been drawn in by the bubbly 9 year old she had met when being taken in by Elder Anne. She was very skeptical at first. She never spoke much but as time went on they grew closer and closer until they were inseparable. She was the only friend that she had and she had promised to herself that she would never go anywhere without her.
"Oof finally were done making the food. I don't get how they eat so much. They barely move off their asses" Gianna grumbles as she scrubs the dishes in the sink.
Leilani was on drying duty. She looks at the snack draw and looks around to see if anyone was watching. Everyone was sitting around the table and eating. She opens the draw as discreetly as she could and hides a few crackers and bars into her's and Gianna's pockets and bras. It was the only way they were going to eat today.
It was true the Blue Moon pack only consisted of around 2000 people from which only 100 of them live in the pack house. Compared to most pack houses, the Blue Moon packhouse was rather small with only one hundred rooms. Only members of the pack who had a reputable title to their name were permitted to reside at the pack house. Those included: the Alpha and his family and the Beta and his family. Only the warriors were allowed to stay in the pack house. They were to share rooms as the alpha and beta decided they needed a floor each for themselves. The warriors' family members were to stay in their own respective homes which came out of the warriors pockets. The warriors, if you could even call them that, were abysmal. Most of them were given the title from their fathers having no clue as to what it takes to be the backbone of a pack when it comes to rogues and battle against other packs. Some know nothing about hard work while others sacrificed a lot to be at the rank they are at now and it wasn't easy. If you couldn't already tell Alpha Kane of the Blue Moon Pack believed no woman should be allowed in positions of power. His Luna was solely to give him an heir to the alpha title and no more. She was required to stay silent and only to speak when spoken to by him. In his words, 'He would not take disrespect coming from a woman who does not know her place'. The same goes for every other female in the pack. All except one. Stila, who somehow got the Alpha's son, Richard, wrapped around her scrawny finger, riding on a power trip where she has no business being. She is your stereotypical tall, blonde woman with blue eyes and a mean girl personality. When she became Richard's chosen soulmate she made it her mission to be as insufferable and spiteful as a being could be.
It wasn't always like this in her case. 8 years ago, no one would've known who stila even was. She was the shy, timid type to stay hidden away from everyone else. She only changed when the one person who she thought would accept her for who she is, rejected her infront of all her peers who never thought much of her in the first place. Ever since that day she swore she would never be the same person she was back then. And how did she decide to change? Well she decided to show everyone how it was to be bullied and it seems that has caught the attention of the Alpha's son. Someone as cruel as him and his family.
Just as the two Omegas had finished clearing away the dirty dishes in the sink, the sound of heels clicking against the tiled floor and the strong scent of Gucci Rush filled the kitchen.
"The dishes are still dirty. Clean them again." Stila demands.
"They're spotless. There's nothing to clean. " Leilanii fires.
Stila picked up the plate as if to inspect it only to bring it above her head and drop it with force. Shards of ceramic flew around the room.
"Ugh my hands are so slippery today. I don't know what's going on. Sorry" Stila smiled as she looked at the smashed pile of plates on the floor, proudly.
A small puddle of crimson liquid ran through the white ceramic ruins. It was coming from Leilani.
Leilani cursed as she hurried to grab a tissue for her wound which was gushing more blood than ever.
"Why don't you go downstairs? I'll clean this up" Gianna offered which Leilani hesitantly took.
She hopped her way back to the basement where she began tending to her wound.
It was typical to end up with injuries. Either from Stila or Richard. Some days they are met with starvation or left in the prisons. Other times they are spared with only minor cuts and bruises. The Alpha or Luna don't pay much attention to the 'trivial' issue. They were only to endure it if they wanted to have a place to stay.
Of course both of them had ideas to run away but they both know it would be far too difficult finding another pack to take them in. Especially when all the packs within 20 miles around the blue moon pack are all under an alliance.
The day went by uneventfully. Soon dinner rolled around and the two girls were back in the kitchen cooking for the rest. Tonight's spread consisted of steak, potatoes, roasted vegetables and brownies.
While the girls were cleaning up dinner's mess, Leilani spots a guard approaching them.
"The Alpha and Luna require you in the office immediately." The guard informs without a single glance towards either of the ladies.
They both follow the guard to the office on the third floor, also known as the Alpha's floor. It is typical for the alpha and his family to have a whole floor to themselves. It is a way of establishing power and rank within the pack and the werewolf society.
"This year's annual ball will be held at the Blue Moon Pack this Saturday. The whole house must be spotless and I expect you to decorate the ballroom exactly as you are told." Luna Elenor speaks with a sharp tone.
"You will be attending to the guests throughout the night and are to be in the ballroom at all times. Do not embarrass me or there will be consequences." Alpha Kane commands.
'This is the list of things I need you to get tomorrow morning. You'll be going with the guards and then start on cleaning the house immediately." With that the two left the office.

Gianna sighs as she lays down on her bed.
"Leilani?' She turns to face her friend.
"Yeah?"
"Do you think we'll ever get out of here?" The question was one they had both pondered nearly every night and also the question that neither of them knew the answer to. Are they to live in this pack and this life until they are no more? Or will they find their way out of this place?

They both remembered a simpler time as kids where they would have fun like children should. A time where they weren't forced to grow up too fast and have responsibilities like such. With such thoughts the two drifted off to a dreamful sleep.
