He pushed his way through the crowds of people, his heart beating out of his chest as he scanned the whole place over, he had stepped away just for a few minutes, he told her to say there...

He knew his parents were going to kill him for even letting her out of his sight, one thing his mother asked him to do.

‘Take your sister to the carnival tonight! Then you can go out tomorrow.’

He pushed and shoved as he held the phone up to his ear.

“Have you found her yet!?” Cameron shouted down the phone.

“No man, nobody’s seen her. Don’t worry she can’t have gone far Cam, we’ll find her.” His friend replied as Cam snapped his phone shut and pushed it into his back pocket.

Cameron had a bunch of his friends splitting up every where to find her, the carnival was massive and packed full of people, he still didn’t understand why she would walk off. He was gone for a couple minutes, his sister had always been a so called embarrassment to him, he would boss her around as if she was a slave, and she was only 6 years old.

Cameron had stepped away to go see his friends who he had planned to meet up with earlier that day but after Cameron had caught up with them he decided he should really go back to see his sister who he then saw, was gone.

“Dallas!” Cameron shouted with a pitched voice, he had reached the end of the carnival for the second time and there was no sign of her, he gripped a hold of his hair and tugged on it slightly.

‘F*ck!’ He mumbled under his breath.

’10 Years ago today, Dallas Parker went missing. The carnival where she was supposedly kidnapped from his having one of the biggest reunions supporting her, even though the police had dismissed her case years ago, Dallas is in the memory of everyone still to this day. We don’t know where she is, whether she is living or dead but everyone still hold that bit of hope for the Parker family.’

Cameron shut down the T.V, 10 years ago today he made the biggest mistake of his life, and he knew that, everyone knew that although they wouldn’t admit that to him, he still knew the truth. Cameron regretted that day ever since it happened after he ditched his little sister for his friends she had been taken away, if he had just stood by her side, she would still be with her family today.

“Cammy, aren’t you coming back in?” The blonde girl asked as she twirled her finger around her hair.

Cameron looked at the girl who was leaning against the door frame, half-naked. He bit his lip as his eyes trailed her body, he couldn’t resist.

“So, Cam... how you dealing with the whole Dallas thing?” His best-friend asked, Ashton was there the day Dallas had gone missing and he knew how Cameron felt when this time of the year came around.

Cam shrugged his shoulders, not even bothering to respond, the boys walked across the large field to bunch up with the many other men standing before them, Cameron and Ashton were both in training for the Police Dept, Cameron had always said when he was younger this was what he wanted to be but as he grew up he knew, he wanted to solve crimes and give people the help they needed.

Cameron now being 22 Years old and Ashton being 23 Years old were both qualified Police Men but they still had to do specific training every week to keep up their fitness levels, the boys had not yet gone on any ‘big’ crime scenes, they actually worked together as partners but the biggest thing they probably had ever done in the Police Dept was arresting someone for robbery.

“Cam, I know this isn’t something I should really ask right now, but, do you think your sister will ever be found?” Ashton asked as they jogged around the pitch.

Cameron looked at him but was not saying a word before he looked back forward, he hated conversations about his sister because of all the memories it brought back, his sister was so innocent and angelic and knowing someone hurt her made Cameron feel much more in pain, when she went missing he was just 12 Years Old, he was stupid and he thought his sister was the most embarrassing person of the century but now he knew, he would do anything to see her little sweet face again and to hear her annoying laugh every time she got him into trouble, that was actually something her missed and still remembered at the age of 22...

“I doubt it.” He mumbled under his breath.
