I took a step into the deep darkness with only my visor and my sensors to illuminate my search for this artefact. If I could find the titan heart, I could leave Kaota, away from the constant scavenging just to survive.
Enveloping myself further down the dark silence of this abandoned vessel under 130 kilometers of water, I kept my head high and myself hopeful that I would find it.
A few hours into my search, I switched on my radio to hear chatter on the other end of the line, thankfully breaching through the thick silence around me.
It was Honta, a friend of mine whom I agreed to work with in this job.
'You're getting close to the source of the readings.' he said, instilling a sense of eagerness within me.
He continued to talk with me throughout my journey to keep me company, his voice being a like a bright light in the great darkness I walked through. He knew I was alone to fend off anxiety in the dark and silence. He was a true friend.
'You're getting warmer,' he said, quite suddenly.
'Warmer.'
'Even warmer.'
I was close to the heart and even closer to my way out of this place.
'Really warm.'
At this point, I started to jog, excited to find it.
'Aaand you have arrived.'
The sight made me gasp in awe.
It was a throne, the size was greater than the size of a Titanic-model cruise ship you'd find in the richer areas of the planet. It seemed ancient. It had so much moss that it covered it from any light attempting to touch it.
The behemoth sitting upon it was even greater in size. Its figure was human-like except the torso was much larger, its arms and legs much smaller compared to that of a normal humanoid creature.
Wiping through the moss also stuck upon the giant, revealed metal.
Its entire body was made of a metal that looked like one that could withstand the heat of a star.
Despite how great the thing's armor-like body looked, it seemed that it was no match against a laser it faced as it had a giant gaping hole in its chest.
'Looks like it was molten through,' Honta interrupted
'But how? This material can handle a star going supernova. How could anything be able to melt through such a thing?' I asked, thinking such a feat was impossible.
Honta paused, then started talking.
'Have you ever heard of the Titan-God war?'
'You mean the legend?' I asked curiously, not knowing where he's getting at.
'I don't think it's a legend anymore.'
I stopped, shaken by his declaration, my hands shaking from what could possible be the truth.
A few seconds passed before I regained my composure and started making my way towards the Titan's chest, all the while having my thoughts run through my head.
In a time long before recorded history, no, longer than our ancestors have even existed, the Gods and the Titans had a war among the stars.
It was a war to determine who would lead the universe and its inhabitants.
The mighty clash had a great cost upon both God and Titan and both sides took heavy losses as they desperately fought for the smallest advantage
However, neither side could win because of how powerful the both of them were, but the Gods weren't going to give up the war because of a stalemate.
