A loud wheezing sound filled the air as Asher paraded through the dark and damp caverns.
"Why does it have to be some divine-forsaken cramped corridor!" he exclaimed while trying to catch his breath, "And not like, oh I don't know, SOMEWHERE OUTSIDE?!" he added in exclamation.
There were a mixture of sounds surrounding him, a cacophony, such as water flowing beneath him, the sloshing of moist materials, possible fecies beneath his boots, and of course the miscellaneous bones crunching and rolling around on the floor. This was definitely "The Hole" as the townsfolk called it. The Butcher has definitely been here.
Recently, Asher, a pyromancer with a breathing disorder (yes, very ironic), has been tasked with finding and eliminating "The Butcher," a serial killer from a small village with a knack for dismembering his victims. This was part of a deal Asher made the city guard in order for them to overlook a drunken fight he had with an herb farmer, which resulted in him torching the farmer's crop and creating the biggest herb induced high of the fifth era. The result of this being that the entire town was hearing colors and tasting sounds.
Recent leads and sightings point to the Butcher seeking asylum in "The Hole," which was a system of sewers and tunnels running below the town. The stench of rotting flesh and the sensation of crunching bones beneath beneath Asher's boots further solidify the thought that the Butcher is definitely in "The Hole."
"Where are ya, ya bastard?" Asher loudfully asked, somewhat hoping his question would go unanswered.
"Over here..." a deep, gravely voice called out.
"Oh dear..." whimpered Asher, "W-w-where are you?" he fearfully stammered.
"You'll have to find me..." the voice eerily replied,"before I find you..." it trailed off.
"For the Divine's sake," Asher fearfully chuckled, "don't rape me."
The Butcher's gravely voice eerily replied, "Boy, it ain't rape as long you as you don't scream."
