Chapter 10- The End Of Summer

My eyes started to open a bit, then they closed and I rolled over on my side. I just thought to myself "is it really the last day of summer?" 2 months have gone by really fast and so I though why not make this day count. I sat up on my bed grabbed my phone of my blue night stand that my grandma had given me before she..umm you know what I mean. I turned on my phone to see no messages no nothing, so I decided I was just gonna check out Instagram. I saw that Olivia and Rae were hanging out...but I just continued scrolling down the page, I got bored so I turned my phone off and got up, got dressed and went into the kitchen for some breakfast. "Good morning" my mom said as happy as can be "morning" I said sounding as tired as can be. My parents were so happy it was the last day of summer but I wasn't so happy. "Oh Olivia called" my mom said handing me the phone "ill just call her off my mine thanks" I said taking my pancakes into my room, I called Olivia "hey Olivia" I said "hey Ella what's up" "nothing you?" "nothing" "so your hanging out with Rae" "no i had a sleepover with her yesterday she went home early this morning" "oh okay, I got to eat my breakfast all text you when I finish" "okay bye" bye" I hung up and started to eat my pancakes. I finished up my last one and gulped down my orange juice, I grabbed my phone from beside me and texted Olivia, suddenly my phone falls from my hands onto the floor making a bang. I slowly fall towards my bed stand and whack my head off of it and there I lay still on the cold floor of my bedroom, the last thing I remembered was hearing my mom call my name as my eyes slowly shut.

I start to roll a bit then I open my eyes a tiny bit while they adjust to the bright light over my head. I look around for a bit and then realize I'm in the hospital and I don't remember anything, I tilt my head over to where my left arm is and see something in my arm and I see a white piece clipped on my index finger. I see my mom asleep in the chair beside the bed I'm laying in, her eyes start to open and she sees that I am awake she gets up and squeezes me as she hugs me. She kisses my on the forehead "I'm going to get some food ill be right back" I could barely move but she knew that and left the room anyways. I thought why am I here, what happened to me, I here the door open "mom is that you" "no its me Olivia" I relax when she sits down beside me "how are you feeling?" "better.." I say drifting off with my words "your mom called me and told me what happened but my mom wasn't home so I had to wait a few hours, she said you were asleep so it would be better for me to come when you had waken up". A pause quieted the room, " so do you remember what happened?" "I have no clue all I remember is that I was about to text you when my phone dropped then I hit my head and the last thing I heard was my mom" I closed my eyes for a few seconds to catch my breath, my mom walked through the door with a tray of food "I think it's time for Ella to get some rest, ill call you and the others when she wakes up and you can all come see her okay" " okay thanks and get better Ella" I smile and watch as Olivia waves goodbye and walks out the door. I had a little bit of food and then started to feel sleepy and I thought to myself what if I fall asleep and don't wake up again what will happen, my eyes were closed shut.
