chapter 1 - booting up

It was Sunday night. 10 P.M.

It was time. Time to practice math. You walked into the computer room and picked up the case, trying hard not to look at the cover picture. Opening the case, you took out the disc(which had an equally creepy picture on it like the case) and placed it into the disc tray. You sat in the chair and booted up the computer. You dreaded what was to come.
When the computer loaded the desktop, there was a new icon. It showed a guy with a red smile in front of files. The title under it said 'Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning'. Or you guessed that's what it said. Part of it was cut off.
You moved the mouse towards the icon and clicked it. Time to learn, you guess.
The blue loading circle appeared next to the mouse icon before a tab appeared.
"Baldi's Basics in Education and Learning! That's me!"
...Where did Aunt Melody get this..? This character was too creepy for kids. Now, though, it looked like he was wearing lipstick. You giggled at this thought, and, after looking at how to play and wondering why your 'friend' had eating practice, you clicked the start button. 

It took forever to load.

It was almost 11 P.M when it loaded. Or, loaded what it could. Immediately, your computer short-circuited. You backed up, nearly screaming as the computer screen flashed white. You saw what looked to be a weird-looking hand pop out of the screen. You rushed over to a large box and hid. Suddenly, there was silence. You opened your eyes and peeked around the corner. Let's see...the regular table next to the computer, the chair, the group of weird-looking people, a broom, and a sock puppet, the stacks of-wait.

Was this supposed to happen? Your child-like brain couldn't handle this.
