Chapter Two

Louis' POV

"Hi Elena" Harry said as he looked at the display case.

"Hey Harry. . .Buying forgiveness cupcakes?" She teased at him.

So her name was Elena? I'll have to remember that, it seems that Harry knows who she is that or he buys cupcakes way to often, I looked over at her and watched as she frosted cupcakes. She was quite pretty and she had really green eyes, her blonde hair was pulled up into a loose bun then perched at the back of her head. She glanced up at me and started giving me a look, I was staring at her wasn't I? I quickly looked away and around the shop, I can't believe she caught me looking at her like that, maybe she just thought I was looking interested in her work. . .Hopefully.

"Harry your friend is staring at me again." She said.

I was in fact staring at her again which was becoming a bad habit that I didn't mind at all, I forced my self to look somewhere else other then her, I finally settled on a disply case filled with chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting. I wondered if she made all of these her self or if she had help making them, my curiosity was soon shortly answered as a rather mean looking woman came out of the kitchen with more treats, she gave Elena a look before heading back into the kitchen again.

"Stupid old hag. . ." Elena mumbled as she rung up Harry's order.

Harry chuckled and paid for the cupcakes and he had to basically drag me out of the shop and away from her, he started teasing me as soon as the door closed behind us and I grumbled as i car in the car, I couldn't help but look at her and he shouldn't be teasing be about given how I've been lately. It's still hard for me to talk about it but I guess it's now or never really, about three and a half weeks ago, which was New Years day I might add. Eleanor suddenly decided to end things after weeks of me and her fighting pointless things, the feelings were mutual but since then I hadn't as much as talked to another girl, let alone be sassy with her like I was.

"Don't waste your time mate." Harry said.

"What do you mean by that?" I asked looking at him.

"You'll never get past the wall of fire known as her mother. . .She's the baker at that place, she doesn't let anyone ask Elena out without a fight" He replied.

So that's how it was then. . .I had to get though fire to get, then though fire I shall get. And that was possible the worse thought I've ever told myself, I mean. . .Who even uses the word shall anymore?'

Elena's POV

I watched as both Harry and Louis left the store and I let out a low sigh, what was my problem? There was a good looking guy standing right in front of me and I didn't say one thing to impress him, yet he kept looking at as if I had said something to him, stupid Elena. I hit my head on the counter with just a light thunk, and no I didn't do that by accident, why could I just talk to him? Oh that's right. . .I'm forgetting the wall of fire that is my mother, she would never let me talk to Louis Tomlinson the heart throb of One Direction, sure she let's me talk to Harry but that's because she knows Anne.

I let out other sigh and began frosting the cupcakes again like every other day, I couldn't wait for the day I can get out of Holmes Chapel and actually have some fun, but it's not gonna happen anytime soon that's for sure. This was terrible and it didn't seem like it was gonna get better from here that's for sure, I finished frosting the last dozen cupcakes and set the tray in the display case, I heard the door open and I looked up hopefully. I guess today wasn't going to be to bad, I smiled as I one of my best friends come inside and up to the counter, thank god for Courtney.

"Have you seen you rolled up into town last night?" She asked brightly.

"Yes, his already been in here for cupcakes" I replied.

Courtney had the lucky pleasure of living right across the street from the house and had a view of everything, she was usually the first to know Harry was home, it had always been a good thing to know when he comes home. I'm the second one to know because I hate driving down that way when he is, although if Louis is with him this time I might have to spend a few nights over at Courtney's house, hopefully I can convince the wall of fire in the kitchen. I snapped out of thoughts to realise Courtney was eating one of the cupcakes I had just decorated, I gently slapped her arm and held out my hand, she sighed and reached into her pocket to pull out a dollar.

"Hey mum, can I spend the night at Courtney's house tonight?" I shout into the kitchen.

"Just be at work at nine o'clock sharp" She shouted back.

Of course. . .There was always work to be done around here, luckily I got off in forty-five minutes so I wasn't wasting the whole day away, it was the first nice day outside it been in a while and I didn't want to waste it. I had got paid yesterday and I wanted to get to the mall before there was a big rush, I picked up the next tray of cupcakes and began to frost them, not much longer and I was free for the rest of the day. Hopefully we'll see Louis again before I have to go to work tomorrow, then again I wouldn't be able to talk him anyways, I'm a nervous wreck around boys and I blame my mother for that.

My shift ended and I almost ran out the door with Courtney following me, I couldn't wait to leave the vicinity of that place, I just wanted to head out shopping and try to forget about the fact that I'm imprisoned for the rest of my life in Holmes Chapel. . .Which was absolutely impossible. But a girl can dream, can't she?

Not when your mother is the wall of fie though. . .
