All eyes were focused on me, everyone whom I possibly knew was there, either looking confused or disgusted. My boss, my partners, my family, my friends, even some random people were watching. They formed a circle surrounding me, not making me able to breathe, making me feel trapped. A circle of suspicious eyes; judging ones. With all these eyes, with all these people, I felt lonely.
Then, it hit me.
It was him. I missed him. My only best friend in this harsh world. I really needed him. He drove me crazy, but I still needed him.
Suddenly, there was a bright light coming from the hallway. It was so strong that I could barely see anything. And, as if he heard me, he appeared. Louis, the only person who could understand and feel me. At that point, I decided he was my savior, and I should cling onto him as long as I could. He approached and made his way through the crowd as I stood up.
He pulled me in a small embrace and whispered, 'I promised you, and now I'm fulfilling my promise.'
While he said his words, I realized that everyone shifted their gaze from me to him, someone even pointed at him.
'Everyone, this is Louis. I suppose you already know him. Louis, this is everyone.' I said tiredly.
'So, you are real then?' Someone from the crowd said.
'Of course I am real! Or don't you believe your eyes?' He said.
'Ignore them Louis, they don't deserve your attention,' I said. 'Thank you, thank you for doing this.'
He nodded reassuringly and got up, walked to where he got from.
He then smiled graciously and began to fade out slowly. But before I knew it, he wasn't there anymore.
