KYRIELLE'S POV

"Ms. Burge, the President will see you now."

I bit my lower lip slightly, feeling a bit nervous.

"Sige, thanks." I sighed deeply and fixed my blazer and pencil skirt before entering Mr. Lauren's office.

No, hindi Ralph Lauren trabaho ko, okay!! He's Andrew Lauren, half-American half-Filipino. One of the most successful editor-in-chiefs in the Philippines because of Sizzling Pinoy News, the most famous entertainment showbiz news media.

"Sir?" I called out pagpasok ko sa office niya. I gulped nervously when I saw his angry face.

"Daxton Paige's agent just called about your little attitude during his press conference yesterday. Care to enlighten me more?" taas-kilay niyang tanong. I rolled my eyes inwardly and sighed. I should've known magsusumbong yung lalaking yun. He's a freaking brat.

Not wanting to explain anything further, ang sagot ko na lang sa boss ko, "I'm sorry, sir. It won't happen again."

"Is there any particular reason for the attitude? I frowned at that, but I didn't say anything. I don't owe my boss nor anyone anything.

"What I feel towards anyone is outside work-related issues po. I may not be fond of Daxton Paige, but I can still be professional and do my job. I've already submitted the article to the editing department. Now if you'll excuse me po, I need to get back to my station." I gave him a small smile before exiting his office.

Ex, my ass. I swore to myself I will never date nor like guys like him, even he himself. Never.

I already learned my lesson.

I was peacefully working on a Crossword puzzle I'm planning to put our paper sa station ko nang biglang mag-buzz intercom machine ko. I sighed before pressing "Answer".

"Ms. Burge. I have a task for you," my boss said on the other line.

"I heard Lyle Ganzon will host a farewell party for Daxton Paige this Saturday at his house. I want you there and make an article about all the juicy details after."

I sighed deeply.

I just wish Saturday won't come too quickly.
