Like many forgotten gods, the goddess of healing herself rested high upon the mountains of Jotunheim, the realm of the giants. There, she came accompanied to her own kin, the giants, being as she is half giant. The giants were wise creatures and knew of many destinies, and spoke quietly of Ragnarok which is said to be the inevitable battle foretold to bring the end to many a gods, even gods not born yet.

But Odin, the so-called king of gods, was displeased of the news from the giants of his foreseeable end, so he commanded his son Thor and his army of Valkyrie to cast out all giants to Jotunheim and declared that they never return to Asgard or any other realm for the rest of time.

For as long as possible, Eir kept her secret, hiding in the armies of the Valkyrie and determining the fate of those she fought, healing those she could. But as destiny foretold, Odin unmasked her true identity of Demi goddess and giantess, therefore casting her to her home lands. And at the peak of the mountains, there her home was built, overseeing all of Jotunheim.

Eir was recognizable by her porcelain pale skin, healing rune tattoos etched up her hand and arm, but most notably, by her long red locks that fell past her bum. She at time to time carried an eirflower stuck behind her ear for emergencies, and wore a copper bracelet on her left wrist, while it was her right arm that was marked with the runes of healing, also called tattoos.

And at times, while resting peacefully at the peak of the mountain, she would hear calls for her name, giving offerings at the foot of the tall mountain and praying for her help. She answered these calls when she could, helping heal the sick and bless those worthy. But as much time passed, her own destiny began to write itself. In the tower of Jotunheim where giants carved, inside her own home Eir found her future. It was not yet finished, but there was a beginning:

Carved on the wall stood Eir, her trusty leviathan axe in hand, standing before the council of giants. In the next panel was the coming of a demi-god, seeking what seems like an escape. The carvings showed Eir confronting the man, taking him home and healing him of his wounds. But that was all yet to come. She looked closer and read his name written in elder futhark, lightly caressing her hand over the carving.

With the furrowing of her brow, she turned to the giants who stood behind her, watching as she read her destiny. And without a word, Eir simply walked outside, standing at the edge of the mountain and overseeing the lands, taking in a deep breath from the calm flowing breeze.
