The journey around the woods took longer than Eir had expected. More and more draugr poured in that she had to fight off which she spent the most time on. But after the long trip, she'd finally managed to create the barrier, using a golden herb to stain the trees with her handprint, marking the edges of the barrier. She carried herself up the hills and through the woods, completely exhausted from the fights and lack of sleep and food in her belly. But as she finally crawled her way back through the woods to home, she fell through the door, Kratos just quick enough to catch her before she hit the floor. He lifted her bridal style and laid her carefully onto the bed. She was passed out for two whole days before finally waking to the lovely smell of burning deer meat.

She let out a soft and quiet moan as she stretched beneath the deer fur blankets, rubbing her eyes as she looked to Kratos who sat on the bench, slouched over with his hands folded, elbows resting on his knees. She examined him closely as she sat up, her hair a mess but still surprisingly adorable on her. She noticed the deep brown scruff that began to grow over his cheeks and chin. He was an unshaven mess. She pulled herself up, walking to the bench and taking seat next to the burly, serious man.

"Is it done?" He asked without changing his view on the fire.

"It is done." She replied, looking ahead. She paused, letting a moment of silence pass before looking back to Kratos. "You age." She says.

Kratos glanced to her, reaching his hand to his face and rubbing his fingers over the scruff. He hadn't even noticed. "I will shave—"

"No, don't. I think it looks good on you." She smiled. "I can imagine now a big fluffy beard growing on your chin."

Kratos huffed, nearly a smile forming on his face as he hunched over once again, resting his arm on his knee. "Perhaps I will let it grow."

Just then, Eir caught a glimpse of the blades Kratos had originally held once he arrived. She curled her lip as she began to ponder her thoughts. "Why do you not use those?" She points to them lying in the corner of the room on the floor. Kratos looks to them for a fraction of a second, not wanting to satisfy the object by granting it his attention.

"They are a part of my past that I wish to move on from."

Eir nodded. "You killed them with those, didn't you?" Kratos took pause, furrowing his brow and letting his eyes flicker around as he thought, then looking to Eir with slight confusion. Eir looked to him. "Your enemies." She finally says. Kratos sighed, turning away and nodding his head.

"Yes, I did." For a moment, Kratos thought she spoke of his past wife and daughter, but little did he know, that was partly what she meant.

Eir took notice of the guilty aura flowing over him and almost felt bad for questioning the man. She scooted closer to him, bringing her legs up onto the bench so that she sat on her knees, and placed one hand on his shoulder as the other reached to his face, turning it to her. Their eyes met, and Kratos felt this odd calm he'd never felt before as she smiled sweetly and innocently to him.

"I know of your pain, your grief. I've felt it before." Her smile vanished as a sad look took place. "But I couldn't begin to completely understand the harsh journey you have made." She said while looking down, but finally brought her eyes back up to his. "Kratos," She inched her body closer, "I could help you forget the pain, the anguish, the suffering—all of it. I cannot take away what you have done, but I can help you forget."

And for a moment, he took in consideration of her offer, puzzled by it at the least as he gazed to her dark brown eyes. But finally, as he felt it was right, he began to lean forward, Eir doing so as well, and they closed their eyes, still inching closer and closer, anticipating the moment when their lips finally touched. Once they did, Eir pulled back for a moment, pressing her forehead against his and holding her hand on the back of his head, readying herself. She'd never laid with any man before, and had always protected her virginity, but now, she knew this moment had to come sooner or later, and she preferred if it were sooner. She'd not yet come acquainted with this man yet, and though her kind is said to be 'wise and enlightened', she was still stubborn and a part of her refused to believe that the carvings and runes she saw truly depicted her future, but she forced herself nonetheless.

She let him pick her up, bringing her to the bed where he laid her, the two continuing a more aggressive manner of kissing. Kratos trailed his hands down her body, then pulling off the fur pants from her legs and the fur coat from her torso. Having little clothes to take off, Kratos got naked himself, and draped the warm blankets over the both of them. For a moment, Eir felt almost uncomfortable with his aggressiveness, having never done this before, but as he looked up from her body and stared into her eyes, she couldn't help but feel the love forming between the two. She pulled him closer, their lips meeting again and Kratos pushed her legs open, his grip too tight and slightly hurting her thighs. Eir took a deep breath, mentally preparing. Her heart began to race as she felt him start to push inside. It surprised her when he suddenly thrusted in, her body taking the full thing. She gasped, wrapping her arms tightly around his neck as he buried his face into her shoulder and began a constant motion, eventually getting faster and harder. Eir's body quickly got used to his hard thrusts and she began to enjoy it, loud moans screaming out as he huffed heavily. As the bed shook, the pots she had lying between the bed and wall began to rattle as well. She laughed as it went on, thanking all the good gods that it was her this man was to meet. And as this wide, joyous smile finally replaced all her past fears and doubts, she took kratos's face between her hands, bringing him off his focus as she gazed to him with lustful eyes, she pulled him closer and simply hugged him. He was a bit surprised, but he hugged her back, and they continued from then on until finishing half an hour later.
