After about 4 weeks of non-stop babysitting we finally had enough to afford a spirit box.
"When does it come?!" My roommate jumped with joy as I ordered the spirit box. "2 day shipping." I said with a smug grin at my over-excited roommate.
Both of us in the meantime looked up ghosts caught on camera. Lots of the evidence looked realistic and relable. Some of it definitely made my roommate jump and myself included.
"I say we go to the Queen Mary Ship. I've heard that place is super haunted." My roommate said as we shared the desk seat. I wrote Queen Mary on the paper. We were making a list of haunted places to check out. "It's mostly haunted for it's one hotel room, room B340." I explained. "And if anywhere is haunted, it's definitely the Ohio State Reformatory." I wrote my suggestion down. "Well this site says the Japan Suicide Forest has potential." My roommate remarked as she showed me the phone screen. "Well that's Japan. California is one thing but Japan is across the world." I wrote down the suicide forest anyways. "Fine but isn't there some house that's haunted? I can't remember the name but it's like Wall-E house?" My roommate set her phone screen down in the desk and looked back to me. "The Whaley House yeah!" I jotted that down.
The final list of places to visit are as follows:
•Queen Mary Ship, CA
•Ohio State Reformatory, OH
•Japan Suicide Forest, JP
•The Whaley House, CA
•La Llorona, Southern Texas
•Pennhurst Asylum, PA
•Waverly Hills Hospital, KY
•Eastern State Penitentiary, PA
Most likely to be continued in the future"Now we'll put this right here on the fridge." I grabbed a magnet and hung the paper up on the fridge with it. "We might need an actual Ouija board though right?" My roommate questioned. "True, don't they sell them at toy stores?" I asked, grabbing my car keys. "Toys R Us is closing so we can check there." My roommate and I walked out to my car.
We ended up finding a Ouija board along with other things my roommate wanted.
"Tell me right now what use is a neon lights board thingy!" I said but my eyes locked on the road while my roommate burst into laughter. "It's... Ah... It's for writing!" She managed to say. "To write what?!" I asked. "I... I don't know! Stuff!" She said back. "Very descriptive huh?" I remarked.
We kept our new Ouija board in it's box till we wanted to use it.
The days passed and finally our spirit box arrived. "Oooooooooh Megan it's here!!!!!!" My roommate squealed as she brought the packaged spirit box over to the island in the center of our kitchen. "Okay let me open it carefully." I took the box and set it infront of me. Then I tore the box into pieces to open it. "That's not carefully Megan!" My roommate snatched the box from my grasp and grabbed scissors to finish the job. Once we opened it we set it on the countertop. "We use this when we have more info on the entity in here." I said. "Can't we ask for a sign?" My roommate asked. "Fine fine. If any spirit is in this dorm, make your presence known by knocking on the front door 3 times." I said in a somewhat loud voice. My roommate and I were silent till we heard 3 solid knocks on the door. Both of us went to check to make sure Skylar or somebody wasn't outside. Frankly nobody was. "Well that was surely... Interesting." My roommate said. "But it is late so we should get sleep." I walked over to my bed and layed down.
"Hey Megan?" My roommate broke the silence. "Yes?" I asked. "Can you make sure the spirit doesn't give me nightmares cause I surely don't want any." My roommate said with slight concern. "Spirit, whoever you are, please refrain from giving my roommate here any nightmares." I said out loud. "Thanks Meg." My roommate rustled in her covers before drifting to sleep.
I layed awake looking to the ceiling. Was there actually a spirit in here? Did I actually make my roommate believe in the paranormal? It feels odd to have somebody with the same paranormal interest as me. It felt really nice actually...
