It was a bright summer day, and Midoriya was excited. He had his whole summer planned out. His goal was to become the number 1 author in Japan, and to do so, he would be spending his summer reading different books from all different genres. Midoriya loved to study different authors' writing techniques, and was searching to find his very own writing style.

Taking his favorite book off the counter, Midoriya called out to his mother as he opened the back door. "Mom! I'm going outside to read!" "Okay. Stay safe, Izuku!" His mother called back. He grinned and skipped outside, closing the door behind him. It was such a beautiful day. The sun was shining, making the air warm, and he could hear birds chirping songs from the trees.

Midoriya smiled as he headed towards a large cherry blossom tree, located at the top of a hill behind his house. He sat down in the shade under the tree and opened up his book. Once upon a time, there was a small rabbit that lived in the tunnels that connected the human world to the magical world... Midoriya stopped reading as he caught a movement from the corner of his eye.

An animal? He thought to himself as he slowly turned his head. He slapped his hands over his mouth to cover his gasp. There, in the bushes near the cherry blossoms, stood a red and white bunny with one blue eye and one grey eye. Even so, the strangest thing about this bunny was that it was wearing a green and black tuxedo, along with white pants. Setting his book down, Midoriya slowly stood up and walked towards the bunny. Ears and whiskers twitching, the bunny made eye contact with Midoriya. It shrank back with a horrified expression on its face.

"It's okay, I won't hurt you." Midoriya called out softly. The bunny paused, then whispered quietly, "But I might." It turned around and started to run. Midoriya let out a yelp and ran after it, following the green and black tuxedo that was flapping in the wind. The bunny cursed under its breath and ducked his head down, chanting something Midoriya could not hear.

The bunny let out a sigh as it opened in front of him. He was safe. He jumped into the hole he had summoned and looked up, expecting the hole to close up. The bunny's eyes widened as he saw a large figure fall into the hole. The human's eyes glistened with fearful tears. Looking up, the bunny saw how terrified this boy was, and felt his heart crack. No matter how much his father had told him to stay away from humans, he had done it anyway, and it had led to this. He had led the human into this hole, and it was his fault the human was crying.

The bunny leaned in, surprising the boy. Usually, he thought every human was the same, but this one was different. He had emerald green eyes and dark green hair, and freckles on his cheeks. The bunny's heart started to pound. Pulling himself away, the bunny wondered how he would explain this to his father, or to the king.

Midoriya gasped as the floor underneath him disappeared. He found himself flailing his arms around in the air, too surprised to scream, and too frightened to call for help. He wanted to kick himself. He had followed a brightly colored bunny, and now he was going to die because of it! He bit his lip as he fell, finding the courage to open his eyes. Around him were kettles, teacups, plates, clocks, chairs, and roses. Midoriya refused to look down, afraid of what was to come. He felt hot tears form in his eyes, but he didn't bother wiping them away. He didn't want to die. He still had a goal! He still had so many books to read! He still had- Mother.

Midoriya gasped. My mother will panic! She'll think I was kidnapped or something! He looked around frantically, wondering if there was a way out, when he saw a flash of red and white. His eyes widened as he saw the bunny in the tuxedo he had been chasing lean towards his face. The bunny's eyes were sharp and focussed, showing no emotion. Midoriya gulped as the bunny inspected him. He thought he saw something flicker in its eyes, but after he blinked, the bunny's eyes were emotionless once again.

Taking in a sharp breath, Midoriya brushed away the tears from his eyes and shakily asked, "Hey, bunny? Can...Can I leave? I want to get to my mother. Am I going to die like this?" He saw the bunny's ears twitch, and dropped his eyes. Can he not talk? But I heard him whisper something when we were on the field...Did he not? I thought that he could. Am I becoming crazy? Does it really matter, though? I'm going to die, I'm falling into a never ending hole, and when I hit the ground I'll surely die from the fall and- "Shut up. You're too loud."

Midoriya jerked his head up to find the bunny's grey and blue, glaring eyes pinned on him. "I...Was I talking out loud?" Nodding, the bunny looked away. "Since the beginning." Midoriya groaned. It was a bad habit he possessed. "Sorry." The bunny was silent, staring at the approaching ground. Wait, ground. THE GROUND! Midoriya shut his eyes, sending up his last prayers before he died. Dear God, if I die, please, at least tell my mother what happened, and keep her safe, and please, make it painless. He sucked in a shaky breath, accepting his fate, ready to fall, but it never happened. Midoriya gasped and opened his eyes as a pair of arms caught him, saving him from falling to his death.

Surprised and thankful that he wasn't dead, Midoriya looked up at the figure to thank him, but let out a gasp. In the dark room, Midoriya could only see an outline of the figure, but when he leaned in, he saw soft, evenly split white and red hair. The figure's eyes glinted in the darkness, but what surprised Midoriya the most was what was on top of the figure's head. There were EARS on this mysterious figure's head! Suddenly terrified, Midoriya flailed his arms around, trying to get away. He heard a sigh above him as he was placed on the ground.

"Are you okay?"
