As the boys wait for their ride Kai says goodbye to Chase and starts to walk home and then his phone buzzes. Dawn texted him;
Dawn- Kai why were you called to the principals office??!😱
Kai- I got caught helping Chase stealing a candy bar. We got suspended...yay😜🙄
Dawn- Broooo that sucks....do you think some food will make you feel better 🍕:3
Kai- Most likely do you want to go to the food trucks in the park tonight???🤔
Dawn- That sounds A.M.A.Z.I.N.G but can you come pick me up??? 🙃 :)
Kai- Sure I'll pick you up after school o won't forget 🙂
Dawn- Thanks bestfriend see you then 😊
Kai- No problem Cya ☺️
~After School~
Kai drove up to the parking lot in his black sports car. He rolled down his window. "Heyyyy Dawnie Dew you ready to go get some food." Kai said with a smirk. "I thought I told you not to call me that." Dawn said as she rolls her eyes . " Just get in." Kai said with a smile. " Fine BUT you have to buy me food."She says as she sticks her tongue out at him. As Dawn walks to get in the car Chase walks towards her from where he was waiting but then he sees that she was with Kai and his smile he felt to see Dawn turned into turned into a grimace when he saw her with Kai. He walks away. Meanwhile, Kai and Dawn are singing along to their favorite song on the radio until it ended..... Kai turned off the radio and said,"have I ever told you how much I love you-uhh your voice haha..." Kai said with a bright red blush across his face. "Really you like m-my voice." She says as she pushes her bangs behind her ear and turns a bright red. "Of course, you are the best singer in the world." They looked at each other for a moment and gazed into each other's eyes but they didn't notice they were at the park ..they lean in for a kiss but Kai remembered how much Chase likes her so he hugged her instead. "We're here." Kai said said at his decision. "Oh...ok." Dawn said disappointed. As they walk to the park center Dawn taps Kai's shoulder... "Can you give me a piggy back ride?" Dawn said " Really Dawnie...here?" Kai said. " Yes Kai-Kai
Pleeeeaassee.." She gives him puppy eyes. " How can I resist your puppy eyes." Kai says as he kneels down to pick her up on his back. "Where do you want to go princess?" Kai says blushing. "Fro-yo please!" She said with a genuine smile. " Off we go" Kai says as he gallops to the fro-yo truck "Ok Dawn go get some fro-yo" he says that as he gets a text message from Chase;
Chase- WTF dude😡
Kai- Whats up???
Chase- You KNOW I like Dawn.
Kai- and you know Dawn is my best friend...right??🙄
Chase- I know you like her!
Kai- I don't She is just the only person who understands me.
Chase- you follow her like a ghost
Kai- Let's handle this when I'm not with my friend...
"Who's that Kai?" Dawn says with fro-yo on her nose. "Uh...no one." Kai said trying to hide his phone. " You seemed frustrated so I got your favorite flavor~"She says generously and she gives him a spoon. " Dawn I think you have a little-" He wipes the fro-yo off her nose and then at that second there is a flash of light. Someone took a picture " I'm putting this in the school paper" the girl said with a squeak. "Kai-Kai it doesn't matter you are just my best friend."Dawn says nervously. " just friends...." Kai mumbles under his breath. As they walk to the car Dawn shivers and Kai put his leather jacket on her. He drives her home and walks her to her front porch. " Thanks for an awesome night." Kai said with smile. "Thank you for being the best boy- uh I mean friend ever." She says and she gives him a hug. But as they end the hug she kissed his cheek and said good bye
