Not A Happy Ending

"Happy Birthday!" Ellis yelled into my ear. I jumped up and leaned against him. My cheeks turned bright red." Thanks.",I whispered,sitting up. Ellis smiled,his arms still around me. My eyes widen." Is this a dream?" I blurted. Ellis raised a brow." A dream?" he repeated. I looked at the ground." Nevermind.", I muttered."Thank you,Ellis." Ellis nodded." What are you doing for your birthday?"I shrugged." I hope to sleep.", I told him, laying my head on my bed." How did you get into my room?" Ellis stood up and messed with my yellow jacket." Sara let me in.",he said." Can we go do something together for your birthday?" I sat up,surprised." Umm,like what?" I questioned,my heart beating faster. Ellis' cheeks turned red then he sat next to me. " Movies? Ice cream?",he said,looking at me. " A stroll for an hour at the park." My eyes widen as I stood up." I have..umm..take a shower,Ellis. I'll get with you in a few.", I stammered,walking toward my closet. Quickly, I pulled out an orange mini skirt and a yellow,strapless shirt. Ellis raised a brow." Is that a yes,and you're wearing that?' he questioned. I looked at him." What's wrong with my outfit?" Ellis made a Are- You-For-Real? face at me. "Nothing.",he said,walking to the door." See you in a few minutes." I nodded and watched him leave.

I looked at the mirror. It fogged up with the mist from the shower. I sighed and looked out the bathroom window. Ellis was waiting outside and talking to Naomi. I pulled on my shirt and skirt then stared at myself. " Again.", I told myself." Tell him." I walked out the bathroom and screamed. My brothers were standing in the halll-tossing a dead rat around." David! Trey! Davien! Drake! DeAndre!" I screamed." What are you--" "Happy Birthday,Drama!"snapped David." We had to spend our money on a gift for you,and thanks to that--we are forced to play with this!" Davien tossed the rat toward me. I screamed and fell down the stairs. My brothers laughed as Amari,Nicki,and Sara walk into the scene. The boys stopped laughing when Sara gave them her serious look." What happened?" questioned Sara. Her eyes was full of hell than the devil himself. " Answer me!" Sara demand. Trey turned pale." Chrystene fell.",he lied." She tripped over that rat." Nicki frowned." Idiots.",she muttered." All five of you are grounded,and why treat Chrystene like this on her birthday?" I stood up." It doesn't matter.", I told her." I never had a wonderful birthday, anyway." Amari frowned." Ellis grabbed my hand and pulled me close to me.He was blushing and warmer than ever. I blushed and stood on the tip of my toes to kiss him. Ellis' lips were warm,soft,and full of his love.
