Lisa's POV:

It had been 2 weeks since the accident. Well, luckily my principal was informed so I had some free time from school. And Chris asked me not to spill out Jake's name to the principal. So, yeah, he had saved me after all. I didn't spill Jake out. But I'd have my revenge. That too from Sarah.

Chris came over almost everyday to see me. He also bought different food and fruits for me. I know, trying to make up for his friend. But I forgave Jake. But not Sarah. Never.

Today was a Sunday and I had to join school tomorrow. So I revised what I knew has happened in school. Grades are very important for me. I have to get to a university far from here and my aunt. I need to forget.

After doing all the work, I sat down just to watch a little bit of TV. Because in the presence of my aunt that ain't ever possible.

After getting bored again I went out on a lookout for a work. I enquired in several places. Finally I found a place where they had a place for me. Café times. Just the kind of place I wanted to work at.

I just had to manage the tables, that is, a waitress. But the interesting part was, if the mistress wasn't there in any evening, I had to be the waitress as well as the cashier. I just hope that never happens.

"I will keep account of the money so don't think of stealing" she said sternly. "No ma'am, I'd never do that. I swear." I said looking down at the floor. "No ma'am, just Clara." She said and smiled. I felt comfortable and smiled back at her. "So begin from tomorrow. At 4 in the evening." She said and handed me the spare keys to the door.

I returned home and slept since I had school and I had catch the bus early.

I didn't hear from Christopher the whole day. Maybe he was busy. He didn't text me at all today. I didn't bother. Because I do only friendship and nothing else.

I was about to leave my house the next morning when I heard someone honking outside my house. I looked out of my window to find Chris waiting outside in his car.

I went out and he asked "Hey, Good morning."

"Good morning." I said.

"So do you want a ride to school?" He asked.

Waow, straight to the point. I like it.

"No, I'd prefer the bus." I said dryly.

"Please, just this once. I didn't catch up with you yesterday, for that, please?" He begged with those puppy eyes.

"Oh, stop it!" I said. But he wouldn't stop. "Fine" I said and rolled my eyes.

I sat in his car and we were off.

As I got off at the school gate, I could feel everyone's glare burning right through me. Christopher came and stood beside me. He held my hand and took me into the school. I hated the way people kept staring and whispering.

I could hear them telling that I had done magic on Chris and I hated that! Why can't they just let me be? Before they'd burn Chris down, I had to get him away from me.

During recess, he came and sat beside me. He put his left hand on mine. I immediately pulled away.

"What happened?" He asked, looking confused.

"Christopher, you saved me I am extremely thankful to you for that. But you need to stay away. Ok? You aren't my boyfriend." I told him.

"But I'd like to be" he said with those eyes.

God, no!

"No Chris, just leave me alone! Why don't you understand? I really don't need you anymore! I'm fine!" I literally shouted.
