A Tale of two Hearts

Chapter 13

I wake up and look at the time it's 8:55. "Steven my mom's gonna be home in five minutes you gotta get out, quick!" He's still half asleep and I keep shaking him. "Lydiaaaa I'm sleeeeeping." I hear the front door open, Steven shoots up. I whisper, "Come on hide under my bed!" Steven slides under and I hear my mom coming up the stairs.

"Lydia is there someone here without my permission?" "No mom never." She looks around for a few minutes but skips checking under the bed. She opens my door then leaves, I hear her go down stairs and turn on the tv. "Damn that was close." Steven gets up and hugs me. Of course he squeezes my butt because booty duh. "You gotta get outta here." "Where can I get out without your mom knowing?" "There's a small window in the bathroom, it'll be right fight though."

I grab his hand and we tiptoe to the bathroom. I open the window and Steven is midway out then all of a sudden he stops moving. "What's wrong?" I say. "I'm stuck I can't fit through!" I try to help him through, I hear footsteps coming up the stairs! Oh my gosh this cannot be happening! My mom opens the door and I just stand there frozen...

I look at her then I start to smell booze, she's drunk! Thank The Lord! My dad isn't home he left at 8 for work and won't be home until morning. I just don't bother with my mom, I try pulling Steven back in and at first it isn't working. I give one last try and he finally is back in. We walk downstairs and my mom goes to her bedroom. So it's just us standing infront of my front door, we stare each other right in the eyes. He grabs my waist and we start to make out. I run my fingers through his hair, and think of how much we've been through. He's about to leave but then he says wait one sec.

He pulls out his phone and says, "Bae lemme kiss your cheek." Then he takes the picture. "Awe I like it, it looks cute." He blushes. "I never wanna lose you Steven." "And you never will, I promise." he says......
