“A monster? Jealyn, you just defeated a powerful vampire that tried to kill you! Your anything but a monster,” I explained.

“Really?” She questioned, and I nodded my head.

“Really,” I confirmed. That’s when I heard someone clear their throat from behind.

“So I believe someone owes me an explanation?”

                                                                             Chapter 35

                                                                             Louis p.o.v

As soon as I heard the voice my head immediately snapped up. As I took a look at Jayden's face I knew I had a lot of explaining to. Here goes nothing I guess.

“I take it you want to know well, everything right?” I asked, and he nodded his head.

“Where would you like to start?” I questioned, and this seemed to puzzle him. As if he didn’t even know where to start.

“How old are you?” He asked, causing me to chuckle.

“Well, I was changed almost five years ago. Lets just say I was in the wrong place at the wrong time…”

It was just a normal tuesday. Nothing out of the ordinary really happened. I was just on my way home from a late night shift and mum had requested I stopped by the store. Me being the mammas boy I am, I just couldn’t refuse.

As the wind began to pick up I shivered before pulling my jacket closer to my body. ‘Man I really need to get myself a car,’ I thought to myself.  Sighing, I decided to take a shortcut down an old looking alley. That was my biggest mistake.

As I continued my way down the alley, I was suddenly pinned up against the wall. As my head slammed against the wall I began to feel a little dizzy. That’s when I saw it. A boy with curly brown hair. He seemed like a normal boy. Well, except for the fangs and blood red eyes.

Suddenly, I felt a sharp pain run through the side of my neck as I began to get dizzer and dizzer.  Finally, after three minutes of struggling to stay awake I just passed out. The last thing I remembered that night was the slicing of the boys wrist before it all went black.

After what felt like hours I began to gain consciousness. As my eyes snapped opened and I noticed four boys staring at me. As my eyes scanned each of them one of them stuck out. It was the curly haired boy from the alley. The boy who had just about killed me.

“Your finally awake!” A cheerful blonde exclaimed, I just gave him a confused look. As my eyes continued to scan the room I noticed something. My vision was much stronger than it was before. Now that I think about it, so are all my senses. What’s happening to me?

“W-what happened?” I stuttered, as I stared at the unknown boys confused.

“Well, Harry here found you in an alley. He kind of went a little blood lust and almost killed you. No worries though, you're alright now! Well, if you count being a vampire alright,” the cherry blonde explained. I just simply stared at him in confusion.

“A-a vampire? But how? Vampires aren’t even real!” I exclaimed, as panic began to fill inside of me. But that’s when I noticed something. Two sharp pointy fangs sticking out my gums. And that’s when I knew this was real.

As tears began to form in my eyes I began to panic even more. What was I going to do? I didn’t want to be a vampire! I didn’t want to have to kill innocent people! Why did this have to happen to me? Why couldn’t the boy just leave me there to die? Suddenly, I felt a hand on my shoulder causing my head to snap up.

“Hey, it’s alright. You're not alone in this. We’re all going to be here for you. You don’t have to be afraid.”

As I finished telling the story I could see the guilty look on Harry’s face. I know he regrets everything he had done that day. And I knew he beat himself up for it.

“Harry, it’s alright. You don’t need to feel bad for what you did. In fact, if you hadn’t have done what you did I probably wouldn’t have met the love of my life. I mean sure it’d be nice to be human again, but what’s done is done. There’s no reason to dwell on the past,” I reassured him. He only gave me a week smile.

“Thanks Lou,” he whispered quietly. I only shot him a reassuring smile.

“So wait, if they were vampires before you then how old are they?” He asked, causing me to laugh.

“Old. As in over a hundred years old kind of old,” I answered, getting a shocked look from Jayden. I just laughed at his expression.

“So wait, I’m dating a senior citizen!” Bree shrieked, getting a groan from Harry. I only laughed as she did so.

“Thanks a lot dude, now my girlfriend thinks I’m some old grandfather!” He exclaimed, I only gave him a smug look.

“Now Harry, there’s no reason to hide from the truth,” I smugly said, getting a glare from Harry.

“Oh fuck off,” he said annoyed. Suddenly, I began to feel a wet substance on my pants followed by an ear piercing scream from Jealyn.

“Louis, I think it’s time.”
