You were hooked from the thrill of discovering a new feeling of happiness and adoration. Well, now that we have established what caught your attention tell me what were you doing in that exact moment when you discovered them? Were you sitting in bed scrolling through random youtube videos, were you watching some top new tv show, reading a book, or watching 6 second videos? How did you feel before you found them? Sad, lonely, happy or were you just bored? In the end does it actually even matter? well no, because in the moment that you came across that one person or that group of people you were hooked like a fish on a fishing rod. Your life was basically taking a 360 degree turn, for the good or for the worst you ask? well it depends I suppose...
Since the first day of your new discovery you spent countless hours learning more and more about them, don't deny it! You slowly started dedicating a lot of your time to them. You basically started to fall more and more " in love " with these people or with that person. Wheather it was a band, a group of viners or a youtuber you spent every minute watching their videos, staying up late and losing sleep following their every move.
You joined plenty of social media sites just to keep up ! Laying in bed past midnight or in school during class tweeting about them, trying to be noticed, reblogging cute gifs about them on tumblr, doing exactly what they said. Let's be honest you bought as much of their merch that you could, attended as many shows as you could, and listened to their music, the list goes on and on really !
Well let me tell you, I understand! I completly understand the desire to care about something or someone that might sound plain out stupid to people who don't get it. To join a fandom and feel like you finally belong for once, that you have found somewhere you can express your love and adoration for these famous people with other people just like you.
Most people don't get why we spend so much time on our phones and laptops tweeting our lives away about some famous person who probably doesn't even know we exist. They think it's silly, a waste of time and pointless but the truth is they just don't understand the story behind it all. They don't get the story of us, internet addicted, strong minded, at times very sarcastic sassy people. We are amazing people if I may say so myself ! But people just don't understand the untold story of a fan girl.
