Alexander's P.O.V
I'm so nervous. I've never met any of Aaron's friends' and today that will change. I hope I don't talk too much, like I normally do. I'll probably end up blurting out random facts. Oh the cons of being a genius and knowing so many things. If they're friends with Aaron then they must not be too picky with friends, I'm sure I'll be fine.
I take a deep breath. I fix my collar and my hair as the heavy wind is brushing off against it, then I do it. I ring Aaron's doorbell. This is it.
"Alexander! Glad you made it. Did you have a fun trip?" He smiles as he greets me with a grand hug. I smile back and hug him back, not as tight as he hugs me, nearly leaving me unable to breathe. He then release me from the hug and laughs as he sees how out of breath I am as I try catching my breath after that.
"The trip was fine, Burr, nothing too exciting, quite the opposite actually. It was quite boring and I'm just glad to be here already and no longer have to endure that." I let out a small awkward chuckle as I looked past behind Burr and see a young woman and man sitting down, staring at us, at me.
The woman stands up, looks at Burr and says "Well now, Aaron, aren't you going to introduce us to this man?" she smiles as she pulls the man sitting next to her, making him stand up. They walk over towards us, the woman still grabbing the man by the hand, sort of in a forceful, yet gentle, way. If that makes sense.
The woman was very beautiful, her smile wide, her hair long and flowing. Her hair seemed to be a brown color, closer to light rather than dark drown. She had, what seemed to be, curly hair, I wasn't sure if it was naturally like that, but I didn't plan on asking. Her eyes, they were ever so dark, but beautiful, just as herself. She had a wonderful laugh. She had a very joyful spirit. I could tell so just based on the way she started talking and her facial and physical expression when she was walking towards me, us.
"Hello Alexander, my name is Peggy, Peggy Schuyler. It is a pleasure to meet one of Aarons' friends." She then leaned close to me and whispered "Not that he has very many." She let out a laugh, as did I. Aaron heard her and just shrugged it off. She continued "This is L-, you know what, he can introduce himself. Go on now" She then pulled the man beside her
"My name is Lafayette de Marquis. But you can call me 'laff' for short." I then shook his hand and said "Nice to meet you, Lafayette." I smiled, so did he. He had curly hair as well, but his was... even more curly than Peggys'. He was quite tall if I do say so myself, but to be fair I am not that tall so it would make sense for me to say he's tall. He was a good looking man, not that I mean it in that way. Although I just met them, I could just tell that we're gonna be great friends, after all they seemed really nice, mostly Peggy. She also seems very energetic.
We just stood there, not saying a word, then Burr interrupted the silence. "I do apologize, Alexander, but since my girlfriend, Theodosia is living with me I asked one of my friends if you could live with them and don't worry he's a nice guy and it's only temporary." He? Am I moving in with Lafayette? He doesn't really seem like the type of person who would be okay with strangers just coming to live with them, I know I wouldn't be okay with it either.
"And who would that friend be? Lafayette?" I asked, sort of confused. "Oh no Alexander, I have more friends than just these two you know. You'll be moving in with my friend John Laurens. I have already talked to him and he said he's okay with it and you don't have to fret about having privacy because he is always out and about so you'll basically have the apartment to yourself, but I will tell you, he lives in a different apartment complex as us which means you probably won't see us often."
I sighed, I don't even know this man and I'm going to be living with him? I really just need a break, a break from all this new-ness. "I mean, okay I guess that will have to do, for the time being. So, when I can meet this John?" I put my hands into the pockets of coat as it was freezing in Burrs' apartment. "Right now, we'll head on over to the coffee shop a few blocks away, that's where the rest of them will meet us and there you can introduce yourself to, and meet, the rest of my, our, friends." He said with a smile and we all walked out of his apartment and headed towards his car. He then started the car and drove down to the coffee shop.
During the car ride, Peggy was explaining to me how much I'll love their friends and that two of them are her sisters. "Oh you'll just love them Alex, they're all so funny, amazing, supportive of one another, and they just always know how to have a good time!" She was super excited, Lafayette on the other hand was just half asleep, not paying attention to what Peggy was saying.
"Relax a bit Peggy why don't you? Just learn to talk less, and smile a bit more, but you do a fine job at that so just lessening the talking is fine." I smiled, almost laughed, then we came to a complete stop. We were here. God I was so nervous, I already had to go through meeting two of Burrs' friends, now more? It all just seems like too much, at least in the moment. It all seemed to be happening ever so quickly, too quickly. What if they're not like how Peggy described them What if they're just the complete opposite, what if they end up hating me? So many thoughts rushing through my head. I snap back into reality and see that they're waiting outside of the car and outside the coffee shop for me. I get off the car and sigh, here goes nothing.
John's P.O.V
We're all at the coffee shop. well almost all of us, just missing Aaron, Peggy, and Laff. We were all just sitting down, thinking about what the new guy, Aarons' friend, would be like. He described him as someone who is very intelligent, but also as someone who can be so stupid as times. He also mentioned he's very egotistical, he knows how smart he is and believes he just may be above everyone else, smart wise.
"This Alexander doesn't sound like much fun." Said Hercules as he crossed his arms and leaned back into his chair. "Well I think he sounds marvelous, maybe I can get him to like me or even fall in love with me!" Of course Eliza is already hitting on the new guy, although she hasn't even met him. She doesn't even know if he likes women. What if he's gay? What if.
The door to the café opens, we turn to look as the bells chime that hang just at the top corner of the door. It's them. First I see Aaron, then follows Laff with Peggy. Finally, Alexander walks through the door. I mean... he doesn't look gay? I stay where I am sitting, but Eliza, of course, walks towards them as she's all smiley, eager to introduce herself to the new guy.
She introduce herself to him from afar, then they come over to our table and say hello, then he introduces himself. "Hello, my name is Alexander Hamilton." He smiles, very nervously. Poor guy, oh well. Everyone says hello and introduces themselves to him, then it's my turn. "Hi, my name is John, guess you'll be living with me for the time being." I said in a voice of disappointment, I didn't wan to be living with him. The way Aaron described him makes it seem like it will be nearly impossible to deal with him.
"Guess so, I look forward to it." Alexander said as he responded to what I said. I rolled my eyes and drank my coffee. He looked sad almost and took a seat as Eliza pulled a chair right next to him, of course she did. "Well then I'm gonna head on home. Alex, you coming?" He rushed to stand up and nodded his head. I grabbed my car keys and walked out the coffee shop, Alex followed.
"Just put all your stuff in the back and hop in the front." I said as I got into the car, it was so cold outside and I didn't have my sweater. He got into the front seat as he finished putting his things in the back. "So..." He said as he tried making conversation, I didn't really want to talk to him, but I didn't feel like being rude right now, especially since he just got here and is barely meeting me, it wouldn't be nice or fair to him.
"So.. you like it here so far? You like us?" I asked him as I glanced at him and smiled, sort of. I can't really say much about this place, this city, but you guys are real great and I hope to get to know you all more. I hope we get to be the best of friends." He smiled and giggled a little. That was cute. The rest of the car ride was silent, but not awkward. I just wondered what would come of Alexander and I, of our friendship.
I'm starting a new story because the other one made me cringe very badly and had terrible, terrible grammar and a lot of misspelled words, if I've misspelled anything on here please let me know. But other than that I hope you guys enjoy this chapter, there will be many more to come, I hope. Your feed back is always great so please leave comments on what you would like to see or what I can improve on. I will try to upload at least twice, maybe three times a week. Again, thank you for reading and hope you enjoy!
