Dayanna P.O.V.
We got home from the party I take off my jeans and put on joggers and lay down in the bed on my phone
I play Demons by Joji and sing along to the lyrics
Ceaser came in and pulled him towards me as he falls on the bed and I cradle his head
I play with his hair and massage his head
This is not a threat I promise
I sang
I pulled him him up to where our heads level together
He was slowly falling asleep so I let him be and went to the living room
I stayed on my phone
Spooky and everyone else was already asleep and I couldn't
I took Ceasers phone and texted
Ruby to meet up
I walk to his house and sit in the curve
Shortly right after I hear the screen door creek
Ruby's POV
I tried to close the screen door quietly but it squeaked
I see Dayanna turn her head and smile
She gets yo and gives me a warming hug
"Beer?" I said holding bottles In paper bags
"Weed?" She said holding 3 jays in her hand
We walk to the park and we begin to talk as we drink
"Why are you living in Ceasers house ?"
"See...this is the first time we really talked but I'll tell you what happened"
"If you don't want to talk about it it's completely fine" I said
"It's cool" she said
She ran to the bench at the park and sat down and was trying to get me to hurry hup
D- my little older sister ran away, before she did all we knew was she was selling drugs and she was very distant. I guess one night she didn't want to be with us anymore so she left and we've never heard a single word after that. My parents were broken and hurt and so was I
She stopped talking and took a deep breath
In a shaky voice
D-I was looking for her and going to people who were close to her ask g questions and trying to get as much information I could
She took another deep breath and tears began to fall
D-"I stopped looking my parents stopped hoping . We lost hope and this happened 2 years ago. My parents were full os anger from her disappearance they took out on me"
She stood up and began to take off her shirt
What are you doing ? I said quickly
Ima show you something
She takes out her phone and turns on the flash
"Hold it" She shows me her upper ribs
And her back and they're full of bruises
D- there's more but for now that's all
R- I'm sorry you had to go through that
D- it's okay
She says wiping away her tears
R-it's not, you don't deserve pain like that
D-the way I ended up in Ceasers House was because my sister was really close to Spooky and me and Ceaser were friends
My parents were so hurt that they kicked me out. I didn't care anymore so that was the end really
I called ceaser told him I was on my way and here's where I am at now
I pulled her close to me
I pulled her face close to mine
R- You don't deserve that , you are completely innocent. You are also very beautiful and have an amazing personality. You are different than the girls around here . You are special . If you ever need anything I'll always be here
She smiles and slightly puts her head down. I kissed her forehead and hugged her tighter
D- thank you
