Awaiting Midnight
The darkness consumes me,
Swallows my thoughts.
In return fills me with emptiness.
Strangles my heart,
As the thief it is,
Steals the air from my lungs.
Though I find myself coming for more.
An aching desired for that time,
The hour of prison.
Maybe for a sense if control to choose my own poison.
Or maybe I enjoy the rush of fear,
Find comfort in the sadness.
I'm the end I am Awaiting Midnight
