The Best of Friends

Hi! Let's be friends.

Flashback: 3 Years Ago......

" Hello!" greeted by a tall person in front of me he must be 5'5 if I were to guess. He was a very noisy person here in the classroom always getting the attention of everybody with his shouts and sillyness. 'Why is he bothering me?' I was just sitting here minding my own business anyway. "Hello my name is John. I noticed that you were alone here and you seemed lonely so.....HI!" I already know his name so there was really no point in introducing himself to me....I guess I should introduce myself.

"Hello, I'm..."

Fast forward :1 week.

"Hello uummm exuse me." said the person next to me. I looked at my left and saw Henry. Henry is a skinny person that wears glasses in the 1 week of time here he must be one of the smartest kid in class and honestly....I think he is THE smartest kid in class.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Do you have and extra pen? Mine run out of ink." he looked down after asking that. 'I guess he's shy.'

"Yeah, I have an extra one." Fishing out my bag my extra pen I just give it to him. "Here."

"T-thank you." he stutter " I'm Henry." 

I nod. "I'm--"

"HEY! You two! Stop talking in class!" our teacher shouted. 

"S-s-sorry Sir""Sorry Sir." we apologized.

Fast forward: 1 year.

Me, Henry and John got along pretty well. Henry still a bit nervous but he visibly relaxed whenever we were with him.

We always hangout, either after school or at the weekends. It was fun, we always take pictures so that we can remember this.

For the past year some changes were made in our lives, but that didn't change our friendship. 

John joined the basketball team, he actually invited me to come along and  join him, true I play basketball and I'm a good 3 pointer and Point Guard, but I politely declined 'Me playing basketball is more or less a hobby for me anyway.' he visibly deflated at that but we promised that we cheered him on each game he smiled at that.

Henry became one of the dancers surprisingly, even though he's shy, he got the moves to be a dancer, We always go to one of the competitions and cheer him and his fellow dancers.

Me, I decided to continue one of my hobbies and that is photography. I like taking photos it always show the art of everything I take. Not only that I decided to continue learning how to play the guitar.

Some changes happened and sure it became a hindrance to our hangouts, but we always get around it.

Fast Forward: 2 months

-Hey Guys! Let's go hang!- John chatted in our group chat.

-I can't, sorry I'm sick- Henry responded

-I also can't. I have guitar lessons.- I responded

-Oh man....Ok next time then. J

-Yeah sure next time- H

-Yeah definitely- L

Fast forward: 1 month

-Hey man sorry I couldn't go to your game last night- H

-Nah it's alright man, you have been studying for that entrance exam since 2 weeks ago! Of course it's alright. J

-He's right Henry, that exam was clearly much important.- L

-Just make sure you go to our next game!- J

-Yeah yeah sure- H

-If the results came in during his next game, choose the results.- L

-Yeah he's right, it's ok to break our hearts.- J

-Oh now you're just trying to make me feel guilty!- H

-Hahahaha- L

-HAHAHAHAHA- J

-Hahaha, I hate you guys....- H

-The feeling's mutual.- L

Fast forward: Graduation

"Well here we are"  John said dressed and ready for graduation.

"Yeah, after this. Off to COLLEGE!" Henry yelled excitedly.

"Yeah after that....we may have some new people in our lives." I commented.

It has been a fun time with these two, I don't think I can find any other guys I can hangout with that is similar to them. Even with the changes that happened and the times we couldn't hangout.....it was fun, I can't believe a quiet person like me will be dragged to having friends like these two.

"Well, that's true. The changes that happened to us is proof of that." John said. "But we are still friends."

"Yeah. No matter what happens we will remember each other." Henry reassured.

Huh. They're right. I guess I was a fool.

"Then Let's make a promise." I started.

"No matter where we are." I started

"No matter how many the changes." John continued

"No matter how many new people we meet" Henry continued

"We"

"Will"

"Never"

"Forget Our FRIENDSHIP!"

"Damn Straight!" John shouted. And we just laughed.

Present

'Huh' I sat on my bed staring at our first picture, our first hangout. 'It has been that long.'

It has been so long since we actually hangout, let alone talk in our group chat. After graduation we still kept in touch, but as the months go by, it slowly vanished. 

'I miss you guys.' I put the photo down and went to pick up my guitar. I started strumming some chords in a song that I have been practicing.

Until there was the  sound of a notification on my phone. I picked up my phone and stared at the message.

"Hmmm, took you guys long enough."

The message read:
