" I don't know " she murmured almost lower than the sound of cracking of fire wood from the lit fire place ...

"WHAT " he snapped almost immediately . Her reply was the most unconvincing thing right now . He was supposed to be on a vacation alright . This whole puzzle is just not a part of his vacation package..

The long haired girl flinched back . His rough voice was enough to scare her more than she already was  ..

" What do you exactly meen by that . ?"  He frowned deep , crossing his arms across his chest . One brow raised and half of his face shadowed by the darkness , he had all the look to not be kidding with .

She parted her lips to say something , but shut immediately not getting anything out .

" What is your name ?" He asked , a lot more calm this time .

The girl simply shook her head .

He narrowed her eyes .

" Name ... Your name .. or anything about you ... Anything ?"

Her shoulder sagged , might be embarrassed of not being able to string anything ... Again she shook her head .

Shravan left an exhausted sight , running a hand over his hair ..

Wordlessly he turned around , took the lamp and walked away from her .

What is it ,? A concussion? Alzheimer's ?
Is it possible for anyone to smack her head and leave her on my backyard unconscious ...?

Or what if she is trying to fool me ?

He thought to call the head office and report the case .. whoever she is , they will find out and return her back to home ...

He went to the corner of the corridor where the landline is kept . The table was empty over there ,so he thought the telephone must be on the other end ..

Shravan turned , only to gasp as the girl stood right on his back with blinking eyes as the light from his lamp was directed right on her face ..

"What ? .. where you following me?" He asked exasperated  .

" Aghh... Light .." she shuddered pointing at the lamp in his hand ...

Ofcourse she will follow you .. you left her in pitch dark ...

The hall was so big that few candles are not enough to fill it entirely ..

" Take this ... " He thrusted the lamp into her hand and walked away expecting her to walk back to her seat ..

Shravan , in the very dimly lit room ,  went across the room to reach the telephone ..  turned out, it's out of service ...

Wonderful...

His cellphone was as good as wooden block , since it didn't show the any signal after he shifted here ..

Cons of living on hills..

"Hell ... " He cursed before kicking the table .

Now what ... What am I suppose to do with her .?

Shravan went back to  hall to find her missing .  He saw light coming from his back and found her standing where he left her .
