The Great Abyss

In a place where love lost and hope collide

A place where the young die beautiful

Where the human rebellion resides

In a land of divided cubicles

A heart stops its solemn beat

And two lost hands finally meet

At last, I can rest my running feet

In the chilling liquid starlight

Hurt and death poison the storming air

Balanced on a cliff, a young and vibrant mare

Her coarse hair tangled by her running feet

And the gash in her belly two feet deep

This is where my mind belongs

Blown to bits, no right of passage, no sad song

This is where my soul will stay

From mourning the night, to the kiss of a new day

We all will sit on the edge of The Great Abyss

Not a thing to love, but not a thing to miss
