My New Neighbour- (Josh Hutcherson fanfic)

Alex Palmer, a 18 year old girl who has just move to Kentucky for a fresh start with her mom (Erin), dad (Matthew) and her dog(Indi). after her younger brother Taylor died of cancer. But little did she know that her new neighbour was different to all of the rest.

Chapter 1

***Alex's POV***

As we were driving in the car, with the wind blowing in my faces me my German Shepard Indi laying across my lap, I started to think about my new life. What will my new school be like?. What will the people be like?. What will the neighbours' be like?. As I got caught up in my thoughts I slowly drifted off to sleep.

*dream*
I was walking down my street (at my old home) alone. Then I saw a figure standing down the end of my street, it looked like a man, he was trying to say something. He was pushing his hands toward me pointing. Then I heard a voice behind me, they whispered,

"hey sis".

I turned around. It was my 13 year old brother Taylor. He had a devilish grin on his face. Then I felt a sharp pain in my side. I put my hand down to the liquid I could feel running down my stomach. It was hot and thick. Blood. I turned to look at the figure. He was on his knees, head on the ground. Rocking back and fourth.

I felt my throat burn. I was screaming.

*end of the dream*
I awoke with tears running down my face. We were still driving. And it's dark outside. Still quietly sobbing I asked my dad who was driving.

"Where are we?"

"We're about 7 minutes from our new house" he answers instantly.

He's always so precise, he is the only reason were ever on time for anything.

We arrived at our new home at exactly 8:30pm.

My parents get out of the car first. I just sit there staring at my new home. It's beautiful. It a large 2 story house with a fairly large front yard.

After I stop staring I get out of the car leaving Indi inside and looked across the street. My parents are talking to people, a man and a woman (probably my new neighbours). I walk across the street, careless if there's any cars coming.

I haven't gotten over what happened to my brother. It's only been 1 month since he passed away. He had cancer all of his life. We all knew he was going to go eventually but we didn't know he was going to go now. He was only 13. He was too young. It's not fair. But there's nothing we could have done. Now I only have my dog Indi. She's the only one who I trust.

I walk over to my parents and the neighbours, my parents introduce me...

"Alex this is Michelle" says my mum gesturing towards the woman.
I give her a small wave.

"And this is Cris" my dad said gesturing towards a man.
I give him a small wave.

"Hi I'm Alex" I said with a grin, I shook both of their hands. Then Michelle said.

"We also have our 18 year old son, Josh" she said then she turned towards the house and yelled his name. After about a minute a fairly tall young man emerged from their front door. He had dark brown hair and hazel eyes. And a muscly build. He was hot.

He stopped for a second and just stared at me then at my parents then back at me. Then his dad gave him a soft nudge.

"Oh hey um I'm Josh" he said shaking my parents hands then mine.

"Hey, I'm Alex" I said , we were still shaking hands. Then I let go.

"Well we should get going" my dad said politely "we've got some unpacking to do"

We all shook each other's hands again. I was starting to get uncomfortable. Josh was staring at me. I was trying to ignore him but it wasn't really succeeding.

We turned away and we made our way back to our new house. Then I heard a boys voice.

"Wait!" It was Josh

"Yes?" I turned around. My parents kept walking, grinning to each other.

"Do u want me to give u a ride to school tomorrow?" He asked looking straight into my eyes.
Should I? I've only just met the boy?!

"Uuuuuhhhhhsure!" What am I saying?!

"Cool I'll come over in the morning?" He asks with a smile on his face.

"Yep, that sounds good" I answer trying not to do anything to embarrass myself.

"Ok, see u in the morning" Josh says, then he winks at me then walks away. Was that a wink?! I've only just met him and I'm already falling for him.
