Fours hours and a lot of unpacking later - thank god Emily and I have been moving our stuff in for the past week - we are sitting in my bedroom, deciding what we should wear to Nandos.

"I think we should just go casual," Em says, leaning back against my headboard. She's been saying the same thing for the past thirty mintues.

"Absolutely not!" I scold her. "We've never even been to Nandos, considering they don't have them in Alabama. And I refuse to go looking anything less than drop dead gorgeous," I say, flipping my brunette locks over my shoulder.

"I don't know about you, but I'm just wearing my jeans, V."

Then she gets up, walks to the door, and walks out. But not before she states, "You should wear that pink tutu Jen bought for your birthday." winks, and shuts the door. Her wish is my command.

After spending ten minutes rifling through the dresser I have specifically for my tutus, I finally find the pink and black one I've been looking for. And yes, you heard right. One dresser, full - what can I say? I love dressing like a princess.

I throw on the tutu, a black tank top, and my black hightops. My classic outfit, I wear my tutus everywhere. I even wore my tutu to go watch Magic Mike one time. Channing's butt, ohmigod. But that's beside the point.

As I walk out of my room, Em is leaning up against the wall in the hallway, dressed like she always is. Blue jeans, a t-shirt, converse - classic Em. "Ready yet, princess?" she asks jokingly. "I've been waiting forever."

"Okay, I didn't take that long," I argue back.

"Thirty minutes," she states, walking away from me and into the kitchen. Our new kitchen, in our new house, in a new country. God, I could get used to this. "So are you ready? Or do you have some peasants to overrule now?" she jokes.

It's just how we work. She jokes, I joke back. It's always been like that. Just wait until our perverted side comes out..

Knock, knock.

"Who could that be?" Em asks, slightly annoyed.

"Maybe it's"- pause for dramatic effect - "the boys!" We both laugh, walking to the door.

"Yeah, but seriously, are you ready to go?" Emily asks as I open the door.

But nothing could have prepared us for what was on the other side.

"Hello, love!"

No reaction from us, nothing comes out of them. Just silence. Probably a good break from what they normally get everywhere else.

Still silence as I turn to Emily. "Rain check?"
