Chapter 18 [Heartbreak]

Chaeyoung's P.O.V
I watched Lisa and Sehun being so sweet like any other couple from the kitchen. I smiled bitterly at how she already have a boyfriend,and i don't.

I shook my head in frustration. Other than that,i'm still happy for her. I hope Sehun will take good care of our maknae.

I still haven't figure out my feelings for Chanyeol and Xiumin. I bit my lip and walked towards my room.

As i was walking,i heard a deep voice laughing,i stopped in my tracks and leaned onto the wall beside the door.

Turns out its Chanyeol Oppa. I listened to his conversation on the phone. I know i shouldn't do this but i'm curious.

I hitched my breath as i realised he's talking to a girl.

" Ah,the date tomorrow? Arraso i'll see you before 10am okay? Gomawo~ Bye Noona~ "
He answered and hang up.

I gasped softly,a date?! I felt like my whole world had just crashed and my heart breaking into a million pieces.

I realised that i love Chanyeol Oppa,and not Xiumin Oppa.Well,sucks that he doesn't love me.

" Oh Chaeyoung-ah? What are you doing here? " i gasped as i heard someone talking to me.

I turned my head,only to meet with his hard chest. I blushed lightly and bowed my head.

" Mianhae oppa "

" gwenchana " i looked up,only to meet with Xiumin Oppa.

He smiled. " Can we talk? "

" Oh,sure! " i smiled sweetly at him and went to the balcony.

He followed and stood beside me,staring at the stars.

I wonder what he wants to say. I'm curious now.

He hesistated but gave in. He took a deep breath while i stare at him curiously.

" I like you Chaeyoung-ah. "

I looked at him with wide eyes.

" M-Mwo? " i asked in disbelief.

This can't be!

" I..I like you,and before my feelings for you get any bigger,i'd like to tell you my feelings. I'd like to know how you feel about me. "

I bit my lips. I hate breaking his heart.
What should i do? Should i just tell him i love him too? But lying will hurt him more.

Chaeyoung,its better to be hurt by the truth rather than being comforted by a lie. I told myself that everytime.

I breathed in while he stared at me nervously.

" Oppa,mianhae. Firstly,i'm honoured,to have someone amazing and wonderful to like me. But Oppa,i don't feel that way about you. I see you more like a brother.

I don't want to hurt you Oppa,mianhae. I hope you'll move on,and i hope we won't be awkward after this.

I'm so so sorry Oppa. But you deserve better.
You deserve someone that'll love you back.
You'll meet her someday Oppa. "

I smiled sadly at him. He nodded and gave me a smile,but i knew it was fake.

" Arraso,don't apologize. It's not your fault.
Lets just forget that this ever happened and act normal okay? "

I nodded sadly. I gave him a comforting hug.
Luckily he accepted it but soon let go.

" Goodnight,sleep well Chaeyoung-ah "
He said and left.

" Goodnight ".. I smiled sadly,watching his back fading away.

Two hearts broken in one day. I sighed and went to my room,not knowing someone was there listening.

Chanyeol's P.O.V
After i ended a call,i walked outside.
Only to see Xiumin hyung and Chaeyoung's backs walking towards the balcony.

I felt like my heart's heavy. I decided to follow them and hide behind the wall.

I listened to everything. Hyung confessed to Chaeyoung,but she rejected his confession.

The moment she said she doesn't feel the same way,i felt so happy,but sad at the same time.

Hyung's heart is broken,and its the fourth time. He was heartbroken when 3 of our members left,but he knew its for the best.

They were like his little brothers. I smiled sadly at the thought. I blinked and went to his room after he left.

I knocked and entered,only to meet a teary eyed Minseok.

" Hyung.." He looked up and wiped his tears.

" Oh Chanyeol-ah,what brings you here? Shouldn't you be sleeping? "

I shook my head and gave him a hug.

" Mianhae,mianhae hyung. "
He smiled bitterly and returned my hug.

" Gwenchana,i'll move on,though its gonna be hard. Go win her heart and make me proud yeol-ah! "

He let go and patted my shoulder,giving me his signature smile.

I smiled back and comforted him like any other brother would.
