~Prologue~

Words hurt more then anything else, it kills the once sweet innocent child you faintly remember being, now a bitter emptiness that's heartless and unforgiving. That innocent memory you have imprinted in the back of your mind never to be erased of those happy times your soul has become numb to the thought of.

The first people to make you laugh and smile, those special people who you would die for, who you can hear in a crowd of thousands, or make you laugh even when you don't want to, those very few people that went out of their way to make your childhood so bright now leave you to suffer in pain when you need them the most. For they once reminded you of how they love you but now the word love means nothing, and now they speak out of habit not truth. Those people who are like family to you are the ones that push you till you fall to your knees, they are the ones who make you want to give up, those are the ones who step on you like your dirt, they use you like a object, not for who you are, they never respect you, they just make you wish you were dead, yet you would still rip out your heart for them. Die for them. But they wouldn't for you. They say words that cut deep into your innocence and love, until the scars are a mental suicide.

At thought blood running from your wrists seems more soothing than the tears which stream endlessly down your cheek each hurtful word they said. Each night, month, year, eternity. Those words that were a joke, or to make you grow up, you shrugged off the first time, but slowly you gather them like the greed of a rich man.

Every time you see yourself, those words you once laughed off, now drown you in truth. Its an ongoing loop that no walls can shut out of your head. The only time you're at peace is sleep, but even that seems to be a sin as the darkness last forever. Those people aren't just there as shadows in the light, they stalk you, there is no escape, they drag you down till you're in your own grave of pity with drowned screams and cries for help. Those people only disappear once you're in the dark they led you to, gone in your darkest hours. Only their hurtful words that burn deep in your veins remind you that those scars will never fade.

No heart can heal yours, your cut wrists can never hide the pain, the suffering, the hate and bitterness, the endless emptiness your left with.
