OKKKAAYYYY
That was not a long enough list from all of the phobias I found. Good god. Who knew there was sooo many?
BUT, do not let these fool you. You may have read over these phobias and thought: Hey, I have a lot of these.
Pho-bi-a
noun
an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something.
You may have a slight fear about a lot of these things. They may seem scary, all of them. But they're mostly all normal fears. Just because you fear something does not mean you have a phobia of it.
Do you ever wonder where a lot of these phobias come from?
You are almost never born with them, that's almost impossible. Unless you have a disease or disorder that causes them, they just came out of the blue.
Or did they?
Fears can be implemented on us by society. For example, Arachnophobia, the fear of spiders. If you were born and raised in the jungle with nobody around you who even slightly feared spiders or thought they were gross and creepy you would have no reason to fear them.
They're simply living things on this earth to you.
But I know that I grew up always fearing insects such as spiders and beetles. As a very very young child, when my parents would run my bath, I used to scream to the top of my lungs if there was dirt while I was in there. I thought the dirt was insects.
Because insects are supposed to be gross and creepy crawlies, right?
Wrong.
You're so much bigger than them, its simply an irrational fear of something, caused by the idea that they look creepy.
So what about the hundreds and hundreds of simply odd phobias that are out there?
Where do they come from?
