"bro Alexis you stay cheating in 2k!!" I yelled from the kitchen making me some lemonade "Girl shut up you just suck" Alexis yelled "Sis I paused the game taye calling you" I ran from the kitchen to the living room to grab my phone when I answered I could tell something was wrong with my girlfriend. She was supposed to have this little get together with her friends and ion like her friends so I decided to chill at the house with my sister Alexis until she was ready to leave

My mom was away for the week so taye was staying with me until they got back . my mom really liked her but back to the phone call
"babe ?" Taye spoke softly into the phone
"Yeah baby wassup?"" I responded
"Can you come get me please? I don't want to be here any more" she said even more softly almost as if she was whispering

"Yeah I'll leave right now. You okay?"
"I'll talk to you when you get here "
I told alexis that we had to go get taye alexis told me she had a funny feeling so she brought my pops piece. I grabbed my keys and we hopped in the car. We went straight there it took about 10 minutes which clearly wasn't fast enough I called taye a few times she didn't answer I got tired of waiting

And got out the car we were bumping music so it was hard to hear anything outside . as soon as I opened my door I heard the heart wrenching cry it was taye Alexis jumped out the car and we ran into the direction of the cry it was coming from the alley and saw some nigga on top of taye Alexis pulled out the piece and popped him . I ran to taye we didn't talk I just held her and she cried into my chest she begged me to go to this get together with her and like I said I don't like her friends so I kept my space. I should've been there I felt like this was my fault

The next day
"Baby I'm so sorry I should've been there for you , you asked me to go and I just - I should've been there man. I should've been the one to pop that nigga if I was there no nigga or bitch would've even thought of touching you"

She looked up at me with tears in her eyes she spoke softly "Baby its not your fault I love you no matter what its me and you forever and always I'm just glad you came when you did last night I called you because I felt uncomfortable with all them dudes there I didn't think it was going to be so many people this guy kept trying to talk to me , but I ignored him I guess he told his friend that I was ignoring him while I was in the kitchen pouring something to drink some light skin dude came and choked me up. He told me to stop playing games and stop being gay before a "Real nigga like him" get a hold of me. That's when I called you . I went outside to wait and he followed me. He choked me up again and brought me into that alley that's when you came"

As she was telling me what happened I got even more angry I wanted to revive this nigga so I could kill him I still felt like this was my fault no matter what she said I got up and made her breakfast . We stayed in the bed that day and the date after. We stayed in the house for the rest of that week until my mom got back it was summer time so my mom didn't care that taye was there I told my mom about what happened she had a lot of questions but I didn't have the answers to any one of them except one

"What if she's pregnant?" My mom asked
"Then I'll help her take care of the baby if she decide to keep it." I responded quickly

"Nique , baby you know a baby is a lot of responsibility. You have so much going for yourself You're starting your senior year soon and you've had scouts looking at you since your sophomore year. Baby whatever you decide to do I am behind you 100 percent. I just want to make sure you feel like your making the right decision for yourself I already don't like the way you hang out in the streets making money that by itself can ruin your future and you know that. No matter how much we need the extra money nique I don't want to be here lecturing you Just do what you think is best for you"

Its been a week and a half since what happened happened . taye went home a few days ago I was in my room with Alexis and telling her what happened with my mom "what If she's pregnant? " Alexis asked "like I said I'm going to be there that's going to be my baby too." "Well I guess ima be a good auntie to the fella" "what if its not a boy? What if its a girl you always wanted a boy" "no matter the gender ima love the baby regardless but see I don't know I might end up in jail we already know she's gonna be cute if she looks like taye . ion wanna have to fight any kids because of her" I laughed

We talked about life. And how things would be if she did have the baby . we only talked about the good things because we ain't wanna focus on anything bad my mom was leaving again so I told taye to come back over its been 3 weeks so far. She told me that she had something to tell me. I felt like I knew what it was. Taye is only 17 and I'm 16 A baby is something that we don't need right now. I guess the thought of it made me excited , until I remembered how old we were I started thinking about it while I waited for her to come to my house . no matter what she decides to do I'll be here for her. She finally came I opened the door excited to see her we said our Hello's and then walked to the living room I sat down on the couch

And pulled her into my lap . I started kissing on her neck but she interrupted me "Baby I'm pregnant I want to keep it now before you say anything I know I'm young there's women out here who can't have babies I know this shouldn't of happened but I want to keep the baby this baby is apart of me I wouldn't feel right getting an abortion"

"I-Taye-I Just-I love you. I'm here for you no matter what..."

This is where it all happened . over these next few months my life changed a lot more than I expected . was I ready for it I don't know but was I down ? Ofc
