The plan was fairly simple, all Monica really needed was confirmation. Although Zee's power was fairly potent, Monica had seriously doubted Zee would be able to use it through walls. So in an act of kindness (or what would be considered common courtesy to others), Monica left a note to Alicia with a vague explanation as to why they were gone.
Monica realized she was really going to miss her spirit powers back at home, navigating through the seemingly foreign home was much easier than it would be sans powers. Even though Ichigo's room was just down the hall to the right, it would've taken tens of minutes to find, what with Monica's sense of direction.
Zee was beginning to get a little restless, of course Monica hadn't explained anything properly. "Just tell me how they are?" What does that mean? Not to mention the fact that the extent of practice Zee has had with his powers was that morning in the nurse's office.
He was brought back to attention when he realized Monica's aura had disappeared, Zee wasn't entirely sure why but when all Monica returned his confused look with was a passive wave, he assumed Monica had done it on purpose. Monica opened the door and grabbed Zee's arm, using her spiritual pressure suppressant to avoid detection to the best of their current abilities.
Luckily for them, Ichigo was asleep on the floor, seemingly wiped out by the day's events. Why he was on the floor led the eyes to his bed, currently occupied by a sporadically breathing Uryu. A quick look to Monica told Zee that she was seriously regretting what she had done, if the glare and frown was anything to go by.
Monica directed her glare to Zee, "Okay, what does it look like?" Looks like that regret didn't last too long.
Focusing his attention back to the two sleeping boys, Zee tried his best to decipher what was going on. His powers were fairly ironic, someone so bad with expressing themselves with a gift to understand someone completely with a glance. The energy emanating from Kurosaki seemed peaceful, the occasional spikes looked a lot like worry, but overall it seemed healthy. Ishida's, on the other hand looked stressed and angry.
Zee started laughing silently, a strong smile plastered on his face. "What?" Monica broke her gaze away from the boys to look questioningly at Zee. When no immediate reply came, Monica started tapping on Zee's shoulder in an attempt to hasten him, "What is it?"
Carefully closing the door, quieting the shut as much as possible to avoid disturbing the characters' sleep, Zee started shuffling back to their own room, "It's actually kind of funny, it feels exactly like a fanfic," When Monica continued to stare as Zee, he continued, "Let's wait for Alicia, I want to tell her too."
Alicia walked back into the guest bedroom with three apples and a cut-off "What's-" when she realized Monica was being a lot more Monica than usual right now. When Alicia saw Monica reciting all of Captain America's speech and Zee covering his ears with a pillow, she briefly considered just walking away. Walking away sounded nice until she remembered that Monica only gets worse when you ignore her (evident in the current situation).
So with all the maturity Alicia could muster, she threw one of the apples in her hand at Monica's head, which seemed to do the trick and shut her up pretty quickly. The only problem with that was Monica didn't feign pain or dramatically pretend that she's crying. In fact, she didn't do anything, just lied there.
The immediate rush of panic was dulled by the thought that Alicia needed to do something, and fast. Rushing over to the bed, Alicia whispered harshly to Zee, "How the hell did an apple do this?" Monica was fine, of course, she was breathing and her heart rate was fine but that didn't really help with the rising guilt.
Zee shrugged non committedly, he cared for his friend as well, but this was fairly minor, there were no marks on her head or anything. The worst Monica was going to get was a headache, which knowing her, she wouldn't even notice it, "I don't know, we haven't really been getting much food or sleep recently," Zee supplied helpfully, "She probably just fell asleep," An awkward tap on Alicia's shoulder was the best Zee could do with comforting.
