"Ready?" Charlotte asks, stepping into my room. I put down the book I was reading 'Enclave'. About a girl who lives underground, her society is stupid, and these scary half humans try to kill them. Its very strange, but also really cool.

I look up at Charlotte, who's looking at me with sympathy. She now wears a pair of light blue kapris with the same shirt she wore earlier. If I ask why she's changed her pants I can hear her now saying, "You don't wear white to a party." Yes, she is right. My sophomore year, a new girl, had blood punch spilled on her. And she wasn't even a Vampire.

"Yeah." I say, and get up. And start to walk toward the door when she gasps.

"Your not going like that, are you?" she asks, looking at my clothes. I look down at me. My shirt a tank-top with Pikachu on it. And a pair of old, dark shorts. My shoes my black converse, my hair in a ponytail, nothing too fancy. I look back up at her and roll my eyes.

"I happen to like Pikachu very much." I say, smiling. Because she knows this, and can't make me change my clothes. She tried our Freshmen year, and it didn't go well. We both turned into some kind of big cat and fought. You do not anger most supernaturals, we can bite.

"Lets go, Miranda's waiting outside." She smiles, and heads out of my room. I follow her, excited that Miranda's here. I got the news a couple of weeks back that she is pregnant. Been wanting to see her ever since.

I squeal as I see her. Her eyes a chocolate brown, shine bright. And her hair, as it is, and always will be is pink, lime-green, and jet black. She wears a t-shirt that says: Stupid is a Stupid Word. And a pair of acid washed Capri's. Pair of sneakers. Her stomach barely popping out. Miranda is a Witch. Though she also is dyslexic, she has gotten very far with her ways.

I hug her almost tripping off the porch. We let go and laugh all together.

"How are you?" I ask, looking her over. She smiles very brightly.

"I'm so happy! Its like I'm getting married to Perry again!" she says, then she looks down. "Perry acts like Burnett did about Blaze. Its hard, but he's happy." she looks up, and sighs. I smile sadly at her, nodding in agreement.

We start walking toward the center of the grounds. Since I've been born, Shadow Falls has grown. My parents live right next to the gates in the back of the property near the dinosaur tracks. Holiday and Burnett have a house near the office. None of the other counselors live here though. But they have cabins for them.

"Who else is here? I know Will and Amanda won't be back til after the full-moon. But what about everyone else?" I ask, as we come to a fork in the trail. My cabin is the farthest away from the center. Only because, its very possible that I could wake a bunch of Vampires in there sleep.

"I haven't heard from Della and Steve. Your mom said they have been trying to figure out what to do with Johnny." Miranda says. I hope Johnny does not come. That kid is bad news. I used to babysit him, when he was a little. Nasty shape-shifter he is. And I don't want to be with him when he becomes vampire.

"Helen and Johnathan are here with Riker and Lora. Derek and Jenny are supposed to come up tonight, I don't know what time. The twins are packing this year, and heading up." she says, very surprised. The last time the twins came up they were going into 7th grade. Now they're Freshman and enlisted here at Shadow Falls.

"I'm guessing Jenny wasn't to keen on the idea of them being here for Freshman year." I say, recalling her not coming last year for that reason. Miranda smiles.

"But you gotta love her." she laughs. Charlotte and I nod. Last year Jenny didn't come because she was  afraid. As was she when she enrolled here at 16. Most of our kind are very afraid. Some of us have come out of our shell. For example: My mom, Hayden, and me. My great-grandfather, great-great-aunt, and Jenny, not so much.
