Alice woke up again at her bed after feeling such excruciating pain. Peter was beside her reading a book as usual. She can't help not to chuckle at the scenery.
She leaned on her bed with her eyes closed and lips formed into a smile.
Doing something rebellious yet right, being punished downstairs until losing her consciousness, then wake up to do the same thing again.
Funny how it seems like a cycle.
"Stop grinning like an idiot."
Alice heaved a sigh as she turn to him.
"Any updates about Prism?"
"None at the moment."
"We're not making any developments. I think we need more help."
Peter closed his book and turned to Alice. What she said somehow caught his attention.
"What about Candhess?"
"I disagree. Everything is still surreal for her and finding about Peter's ability would be too hard for her to take." Felicia said as if she's talking to Alice.
"No." He replied making Alice frown.
"Rain?"
Felicia sat beside him and told him about Rain's current state. Damn, Prism's case is already too hard to fix and now he just added himself.
"I'll be out for a moment."
"Wait. Where are you going?"
He didn't bother to answer and went towards the door when she spoke.
"Is she with you?"
He and Felicia both looked back at her with confused expressions.
"Felicia... She's beside you right now, right?"
"Yes."
Alice smiled before nodding at him.
"I won't be worried then."
He smiled softly at her before leaving with Felicia who seems amused.
She told me that Rain was desperate on finding Prism. So he decided to make a move on other souls like what I concluded weeks ago.
"How many souls have he stolen to?"
"I have no idea."
He started the engine and was about to leave when Felicia glared at her, he raised an eyebrow at her and she rolled her eyes at him.
"Seat belt Peter."
"Ah yeah, sorry."
He put on his seatbelt first before they left.
"Are you sensing him now?" asked Felicia.
