“Steven!” My mum Shouted. “Yes Darling!” My dad replied. Sandra is Convulsing again. My older sister’s eyes were red and once again foam shot out from her mouth. She has a bad case of epilepsy. “Mummy, Daddy why is Sandra vibrating again!” My younger brother, Calvin asked.

We rushed my sister to the neighbourhood hospital but the illness was yet to seize.” We are losing her!” The doctor yelled. Her eyes were spinning and her heart beat was very fast. It was heart wrecking.

I lay down beside my sister and prayed. Her heavy breathing decreased and her heart beat became almost normal. Then she turned to look at me and said, “Scarlet, please take care of yourself because i can't be around to do it any longer”. Her voice was shaky and unclear. I smiled and nodded at her then she handed me a solid gold ring her fiancé  gave her.

Before I could reply, her pulse stopped and so did her heart beat. She was gone, forever. “Noooooo!!” My mum shouted. The room was heavy and everyone was crying. I faced my dad. He was shaking his head. Then he made the most inconsiderate comment “Ok now that is done. My pocket can stop leaking.”

Everyone looked at him and my mum shouted “What the hell is wrong with you, Steven. No sign of sympathy for your first child’s death!” Those words pricked my chest and I felt a lump in my throat. We left the hospital after my late sisters body was taking to the mortuary.

The burial was the most dramatic and heartfelt day in my life. Her fiancé  Eden was there also. He was the most devastated of us all. She was beautiful. Long curly red hair, bold red lips and fierce big brown eyes.

In school i was the most miserable student, my only strength was Sandra. Now all hope is lost.
