Chapter 3
I finally start waking up and that's the worst part about fainting because everything comes rushing back to you and trust me I was a blubbering mess when it all came back I didn't eat,I just slept because it was the only thing that allowed me escape from my grieving yet I just couldn't believe Percy was gone I mean I really couldn't but I've come to terms with her death I've realized she's not coming back and she never will the thing that gets me most is that besides the multiple stab wounds to her body the murderer had carved a smile into her face and although I cried when I heard that it was the strangest thing..
A week.
About thirty people had been murdered in a duration of a week and I knew it was the same killer that had killed Percy because the killer had carved eerie looking smiles into their lifeless faces, yet they still have no clue as to who is behind this mass murder spree.
Tonight I was going to be alone because my father had to work the night shift until the morning
"Alright I'm about to leave for work honey make sure to lock all the doors and check the windows"
My dad said "ok dad bye, goodnight, and I love you" I said with a little unease in my voice "ok love you too cope goodnight" and with that he left and I watched him from the window as he pulled out of the driveway, 'alright cope' I thought ' your on your own be careful' the uneasiness in the pit of my stomach slowly growing. I made my way up to my room wincing every time a floorboard creaked but finally I made it and opened up my door and walked in and sat on my bed I released a sigh of relief so I laid down and after awhile darkness found me dressed in it's robes desquised as sleep.
