Confession

I pounded on the faded door (it's going to break someday, I may as well speed up the process) and screeched at the top of my voice, "Oi! Anyone in?" An angry, tired face approached, peeked through one of the many small cracks in the door and grinned, "So, how was your trip back to England?" he asked, swinging open the door, nearly pulling it of the hinges, and gently hugging me. I hugged back and exclaimed, "It was amazing! Saw some old friends, killed a few enemies. Also, I went back to Whitby! I felt right at home! ...Where's the others?" Afa giggled then stopped and thought for a bit, " Night is upstairs either sulking or planning as always, E went out to grab a bite to eat, he wont be long, Axe is out with his new boyfriend, I'll tell you later, and Killer 'n' G Dog are upstairs on the Xbox probably playing something highly inappropriate. And I'm here." Afa seemed to stop and think for a bit, looking at the ground and scuffing the floor with his dark blue trainers. "Um, heh, Lucid, uh, can we talk outside for a second?"

I studied Afa's face - he looked scared, and was anxiously running his fingers through his pale brown hair. "Yeah, of course. Why?" I looked away. "I-I'll tell you outside, okay? J-just h-head round to the c-clearing round the back, I-I just n-need to g-grab something, " he muttered quickly, turning away and rushing into the room next door.  Sighing, I headed round the back of this huge building, slightly suspicious, and found myself wondering what his problem was.

The clearing is a quiet place, so alone and peaceful. There was some kind of calming, mystifying aura about it and I found myself drifting into slumber. Footsteps. I quickly opened my eyes to be greeted with Afa sat down beside me, "L-lucid, uh, I-I have a-a question f-for you?"                               "Yeah, what's wrong?" He brought a small, light blue flower from behind him and laid it down on my lap, "W-will y-you... go o-out with me?" I... wasn't expecting that. I looked him dead in the eye;they were filled with a great sadness , yet a great sense of hopeful desire. I didn't know how to react, so I spoke, "Who me? Surely not?" He looked away, "I-is that a y-yes or a no? B-because I'm d-definitely t-talking to you. Uh, heh, y-your beautiful y-you know, a-and I've w-wanted to, umm, t-tell you t-that for a long t-time." I lightly kissed him on the cheek, making him blush even deeper than he already was, and muttered, "Yeah, why not, you're pretty cute for a madman." He looked utterly shocked, shocked that he wasn't immediately turned away I guess. However, I don't see why someone wouldn't date him;he's cute, he's sweet,he's hot and he's fun. He picked up the Love In Mist flower (for that's what it's species was) he had laid on my lap and gently tucked it into my short, black hair.

He kissed me. Right then. On the lips. I just sat there. I couldn't find the ideal reaction apart from sitting there like a fool, blushing deeply. This moment....it seemed to good to be true. When I came to my senses, I kissed back. Then I thought. What would Night think of this? Afa works for Night, and I'm 110% certain he wouldn't be happy with one of his "partners in crime" dating his sister! Eventually, Afa pulled back (looking deeply embarrassed and disappointed with himself for kissing me) and whispered, "I-I'm s-sorry, I...I sh-shouldn't have done that."                                       "N-no, it's fine!"                                                                                                                                                                     "W-we should g-go back in-inside..." Afa unsteadily stood up on the faded, dying lawn and walked back into the mess of our house.
