Kace's stomach lurched. She didn't feel good. She didn't feel good at all. Reluctantly, she arose from her bed. Kace got ready for school, when suddenly, an idea popped into her head. "Mom, can I stay home from school today?". "Why? Are you sick? Do you have a fever? Are you going to -" " Mom! I just feel a little queasy, and I REALLY don't want to go to school today". After a little convincing, Kace's mom finally gave in. "Fine but NO DEVICES." "Okay, okay." Kace replied. She didn't care that she couldn't go on her phone, ANYTHING was better than the situation she was in. Kace was free! She didn't have to deal with Logan or "the meetup". Kace hated all the drama that came packaged with crushes. It's all such crap, and that's why she didn't have any. Crushes are just crushes, everybody has them. But Logan, oh Logan just had to make such a big deal out of it. She thought she clarified that she DIDIN'T LIKE HIM. But she was safe. Or at least for now.
