++ Chapter 2: Datewatching ++

Maddie snatched your wrist, dragging you out to the backyard.

"I am so sorry about that, my brother Tom can be really difficult," Maddie said, still scowling. 

"Don't worry, I'm sure it'll all work out." You tried to reassure the girl, but it was kind of obvious this wasn't the first time this kind of thing happened. Maddie took out her phone and called Kat, only for the girl to jump Maddie's backyard fence.

"What? Did he say he'd go on a date with me?" Kat spat. Maddie sweat nervously.

"Um, no, but we can make him go on a date with you." The purple-hoodied girl said. Kat kind of leaned in a bit.

"I'm listening," The pink-haired girl said. Maddie adjusted her hoodie a bit, standing up straight.

"I'll drag him to the park, you can wait there with (Y/N). We'll pretend it's a completely unexpected interaction and (Y/N) and I will leave you there with Tom, got it?" Maddie asked. Kat nodded her head. Did they just drag you into this predicament? You JUST MET THESE PEOPLE!

"Alright, we'll go now. Call me when you get to the park." Maddie said. She then rushed inside. Kat looked down at you.

"Well, don't just stand around. Let's get to the park." Kat said, hopping the fence again and walking off. You follow the pink-haired girl, silently judging her outfit choices as you went. When you two finally got to this park, Kat took out her phone and called up Maddie, walking around a little while she talked to her 'bestie'. 

"Alright, see you soon," Kat said, hanging up and sitting back down. It quickly became awkward as the two of you sat in silence together.

"So.. How long have you known Maddie and Tom?" You asked. Kat looked over at you, grimacing.

"Why do you want to know? Just sit there and be quiet, I can't believe Maddie would even drag someone like you into my problems." Kat spat. You obeyed and sat quietly.

'Ugh, no wonder Maddie's brother doesn't like this hoe! She's so rude!'  You thought. You heard shouting coming from behind you and turned to see Maddie and Tom walking up to you and Kat.

"Hey Kat! What are you doing here, I thought you said you were going home?" Maddie asked. Kat shook her head with the fakest smile on her face.

"I decided to come here instead, with my new friend.. Uh.. (Y/N)?.." Kat said, looking over at you. You waved your hand a bit and finally got a good look at this 'Tom' guy. He had light brown spiked up hair, black eyes and a blue hoodie. His sneakers had a checker pattern on them and he held a flask in his hand.

"Not bad.." You mumbled. Kat shot her eyes in your direction.

"What was that?" She asked ominously. You shook your head.

"Nothing, don't worry." You said. Tom took a sip from his flask and started walking away when Maddie grabbed him and threw him onto you. Your arms wrapped around his torso as he fell, trying to soften his landing and nOT die.

"oOF!" The wind was knocked out of you as Tom landed on top of your lap. 

"Um?? Can you??? Get oFF????" You said, panicking. Tom was blushing, which seemed weird for someone like Tom. Or, at least, what you had gathered from Tom's outward look and persona. Tom jumped off of your lap, shrieking. Kat was glaring so much it could pierce your everything and Maddie was practically having a seizure on the ground. Maddie grabbed your wrist and sprinted with the speed of all the gods into a bush nearby. It left Tom and Kat alone.

"Hey Tom." Kat had went from completely livid to calm and blushy in a matter of seconds.

'Jesus, bipolar much?'  You thought, trying to shake what just happened from your head. Tom sat down, holding his head in his hands. Kat went to pat his back but Tom scooted away uncomfortably. Kat crossed her arms, looking away from him angrily. 

'The Hell even is this?'  You continued thinking. Kat moved closer to Tom and it for some reason made you really angry.

'He doesn't like you, ya hOEBAG! Back off!'  Your thoughts were racing. Why did you care? It's Tom's choice if he's with her or even if he likes her at all, so why were you so--

'Oh. Oh no. Not another one-- Ugh, I'll have to schedule a spa apointment at--'  You were mind-interrupted by Kat aLL up on Tom. You were so close to just shrieking out at her to stop, but you held it in. Kat put her hand on Tom's cheek and tried to kiss him when Tom sprang up, screaming.

"wHAT THE HELL, GET YOUR HANDS OFF ME!" Tom shouted, running away. Kat got up, grabbing a handful of your hand through the bush and pulling you out of it.

"oW OW OW OW OW! GET OFF ME, HOE!" You shrieked. Kat let go of your hair and punched you in the face.

"yOU RUINED THIS WHOLE THING! I KNEW YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE BEEN INVITED!" Kat screamed spitefully. She kicked you in the stomach and you fell backward, hitting your head and passing out.
