"Seb, come on man. One more night, I just have a feeling its gonna be a good one." Chris runs his hands through his unruly hair one last time in the mirror as he glances back at me.

I uncharacteristically roll my eyes . "Maybe for you, but you know how I am in big groups of people."

"Yeah I know," he glances at the floor. "But that's what the alcohol is for." A sly grin replaces his momentary look of guilt and I let out an exasperated sigh, not masking my irritation with a squint of my eyes.

"Who knows, maybe you'll meet someone tonight. I mean Maggie is already re-engaged." Chris reminds me of the biggest mistake of my life.

"Like I'd drop back down that rabbit hole." I grunt.

"I know man, but I'm just saying you could meet your perfect rebound." Chris taunts as our door squeaks open.

"I think my tour overseas was enough to flush her from my system. I know I won't meet anyone, but I did tell you I'd go with you to this new club and I am a man of my word." I didn't want to meet anyone either. When who you believe to be the love of your life turns out to be nothing more than a gold digging leech—well let's just say your outlook on relationships completely changes.

He claps me on the back before shoving me out our hotel room door. "That's the spirit!"

"Come on Ella Bean!" I hear a girl's voice call out down the hall. I can't see the girls' faces but something catches my eye, a set of tan legs hugged by a form-fitted dress, her toned calfs lead my eyes down to a pair of black and white sneakers.

I chuckle to myself, only someone with unique taste can pull off that dress with converse.
