The Normandy Experiment

chapter 1

it has taken a great deal of time and pondering for me to take the decision of writing about what happened. no, its not what you think. I'm no a hypothetical wild child, or an aesthetic teen queen. I'm not a gothic sunlight-phobe or a reckless tomboy. in fact, I'm nothing special , I'm nothing different. but the things that have happened with me most certainly are. i would like to tell you this long, complicated, twisted and unnerved story , starting with the most basic thing. 

my name is maya F bennett.

when i was a child of 4, my twin sister lana  was taken away from us because of a mental illness. well , they call it a mental illness but i think it was more of a mental edge over everyone else. a mental advantage. im not talking your typical teen hysteria, depression and anxiety. She was different because of psychological and intellectual abilities. they were immense, she could perform mind bending calculations in that little head of hers.. highest IQ in country , probably. she was not your typical beautiful though.. she had frayed short brown hair, dark brown eyes and an oddly curvy body, completely different from me. she was taken to a "stable facility" or some such thing, at least thats what they told my parents. but i didn't believe for one second that they were even treating her as a human. i was sisterless, alone.

i hadn't seen her for years by the time i got to high school. it was almost as if she was completely erased from my life. that was until one day, when the new girl, noahnne fishcher showed up at our school . her resemblance to my sister was uncanny, she had short frayed hair and deep eyes. it came as a shock to me because they were exactly identical. lana and noahnne. i HAD to get to know her, i just HAD to.

 everyone felt that something wasn't right with her, and that she's somehow related to me. but this was just everyone jumping to conclusions on her very first day. there were more days to come, and more exploration to do.
