"Alexis you are practically invisible in school! Just let me give you a makeover and I can change that. Please? Senior year starts in two weeks and I want people to notice you!" Said my best friend Mackenie. She really did know how to convince someone.
"Fine!" I shout. "I'll let you give me a makeover but you better make me look beautiful!"
"You bet I will" she exclaimed as she jumped up and down clapping her hands like a retarded seal. "Let's go to the mall and do some different things with your hair and buy some new clothes" she said and with that we were in her car on the way to the mall. I didn't want to do anything different with my hair. I like the way it looks. It's straight, dark brown and reaches my waist. I wondered what type of clothes I would be getting. To be honest I was kind of excited to do this. Maybe this year I would be popular like I've always wanted to be. I hope so.
"We're here" Mackenzie shouted as we parked in a spot at the mall. I rolled my eyes and got out of the car.
"I have no idea how I accepted this."
"Well you did. First stop the hair salon!" Mackenzie stated as we walked through the mall and entered the salon. I sat down in one of the chairs in front of the mirror as Mackenzie whispered something into the hair dressers ears. She smiled and began to work on my hair after turning the mirror around so I could no longer she my reflection. When she was finished with my hair she turned the mirror back around.
"Wow" I exclaim as I stare at myself in awe. Mackenzie told the lady to dye my hair a light brown and add some blonde highlights. "I look beautiful!" I shout as I hug Mackenzie.
"I knew you would love it and don't worry about the charges everything's on me today, Lexi." Mackenzie stated. I hugged her tighter and whispered a thank you as she paid. Mackenzie was really rich so her parents didn't care how much she spent on things. She had it so easy. We left the store and bought new make up that looked absolutely gorgeous on me. It was very simple to put on and was so amazing. I love Mackenzie so much for doing this for me.
"Maybe this isn't such a bad idea after all" I thought to myself as we went around the mall shopping for clothes.
