2:50 a.m Thursday Morning
A small light had suddenly illuminated the bedroom, a small and inaudible hum rang softly on the wooden surface where it lay. The hum seemed to grow more audible as only a few minutes past, seeming as if the phone began to rang just before a hand reached out to silence the device. As the phone was picked up, the light shone brightly as flashlight into a pair of, now squinting, tired green eyes. It took a bit for the poor owner to look through the light to type in their pass-code, in the while, turning down the brightness and open the message that seemed to oh so bother precious sleep she had been woken from.
2:56 a.m -Unknown- 'Very clever, my dear.'
Dark brown eyes furrowed together in the sheer and utter confusion at the words she saw before her, as millions of questions ran through her mind, now thoroughly awake.
Who was this person?
How did they get her number?
Do they have the wrong number by chance?
What was clever?
And why the hell text her in the middle of the night of all times?
There were answers to these that she wanted, but didn't want to ask, as just stared, trying to decipher what this might have might. Allowing her eyes to have a break from the light, they wondered over to the form that lay next to her, whom had their arms wrapped loosely around her own form. One more question popped into her mind.
Did they know Ryan?
She hadn't even noticed the person began to type, as a small vibration went through her hand, moving her gaze back to the next message that appeared on the screen.
3:02 a.m -Unknown- 'My dear Paige, I thought dear Ryan taught you better than to ignore the people who message you.'
Her heart than dropped like a ton of bricks falling from a lift. Green eyes widening like a deer that has been caught in the headlights of a car. This had to be one of Ryan's friends fucking with her as a prank to be an absolute ass. Before Paige could even think what she should say, she began to reply.
3:05 a.m 'Jason if this is you, this isn't funny. I don't think Ryan will appreciate this very much when I tell them in the morning.'
It was a stupid reply, but it was the best Paige could muster, before she turned her phone off and placed the cursed thing back of the side table. Paige allowed herself to plunge back under the soft covers and the comforting space of her lover's arms. Her eyes still stung a bit, both from the light and the tiredness that suddenly flooded over her once again. A fading blue strand of hair fell into her face, as she pushed away, chewing on the skin of her cheek as she heard the very soft and inaudible hum again, wanting to see the reply the person gave. Paige ignored it, refusing to acknowledge it, it was to late for this kind of stuff and paranoia had snuck into her like an uninvited house guest.
The faded blue haired women slowly by slowly allowed her breathing to calm, and slow, resting her head against Ryan's chest, their familiar scent welcomed her, as she slowly let it fill her senses. It was calming her down more, to be in the arms of someone she felt safe to be with, as this began to lull her back to sleep, curling up just slightly next to Ryan. They surprisingly hadn't woken up through that whole ordeal and Paige was thankful for that. Her sleeping schedule was already fucked as it, and they worry too much about her sleep as is. Closing her sore eyes, a small and content sigh left her lips.
