"For real? Can I not use this to cultivate? Then how am I supposed to reach Qi gathering without any cultivation technique... "

Felix really wanted to start his cultivation journey as soon as possible and not being able to do so was painful for Felix.

"Wait... If I remember correctly, I can increase my cultivation just by hunting savage beasts, right? Genius, I'm such a genius...but I don't know If my strength is enough to even hunt. Think Felix... think...there should be a way...

Wait...what If I use that method? Yes... I can try that..."

Felix stood up and started to search the whole house for something. Felix search lasted for a good half hour and the items he was searching were a worn out book, a long wooden stick, rope, a hammer, a cleaver and a shovel.

"I think this trick should work If everything goes well but I still doubt this method. If this works...I'll be golden but if it fails... I'll just have too much meat to eat "

Packing everything In a jute bad, Felix left his house and went straight toward the forest Inner region.

Standing at the entrance of the forest, Felix was ready for the hunt.

"I think it my first time entering the forest but thanks to these maps drawn by grandma, I won't face any trouble while navigating. Now lets search for the best spot to set up the trap."

Felix retrieved the worn out book from his jute bad and started to examine it.

Map Link: Coming soon

"I think the riverside would be the best place to set up traps. If I'm not wrong, that place should be filled with the beast who come there for drinking water but that place is like a double-edged sword. I may catch one or two savage beasts but I may die while setting up the trap. Why it has to be so difficult..."

After complaining about his situation for few minutes, Felix entered the forest.

The forest was colossal, dark, and ancient. Its canopy was dominated by tower sized tree, who allowed adequate light to pass down for an overabundance of shrubs to control the nut and seed covered grounds below.

Coiling branches hung from many a tree, and a potpourri of flowers, which were common to this area only, added some color to the otherwise jade scenery.

A cacophony of beastly noises, belonging mostly to foraging beasts, added life to the forest and formed a chaotic orchestra with the swaying of treetops in the wind.

It was truly beautiful yet scary.

Following the map carefully, Felix discovered his destination, the river.

The river was surrounded by the tall trees which made it near impossible to observe anything beyond 2 meters.

Felix surveyed his surrounding by climbing a tall tree but Felix wasn't able to see anything, as his vision was restricted by huge leaves and branches.

After descending, Felix did a ground surveillance as his last safety measure. Feeling safe, he unpacked his stuff.

According to his plan, he will set up a trap and wait. When a savage beast gets trapped, he will simply kill it and let his body do the absorb thingy.

When Felix was little, around 6 and a half years old, his grandma started to teach him a lot of stuff and hunting was part of it. Felix never tried to hunt even once in his life, but he was expert in theory.

The trap which Felix was planning to use is one the most basic one. This trap construction was to dig a deep hole and camouflage it with the help of leaves and branches.

As simple it sounds, it is not easy to set it up, not for 9 years old kid.

As for the place to set up the trap, Felix picked the spot which was had the most footprints.

"Hmm....this spot is the best. From what I remember, Grandma told me that the average height of a savage beast varies in between of 2 meters and 4 meters and

So, I should make the pit 5 meters deep and 3 meters wide. That's a lot of digging and I don't think I should waste my time "

At the begging, Felix used the rope and tied its one end to a strong tree while using the other end as a way to climb and descend.

It took about 1 and a half hours to dig that hole. After digging, Felix climbed one of the trees which had long branches. Using the clever, Felix extracted 10 long branches.

Using those branches, Felix camouflaged the huge pit.

Most of the savage beasts have low IQ as such, it would be Impossible for them to differentiate anything abnormal.

Using the remaining time he had, Felix made 2 more pits of similar dimensions.

The current Felix was totally exhausted. Felix was on his way to home. It was already night time and there was no sign of light. Using tradition way of making fire, Felix made a torch.

"I'll come back tomorrow and check the trap. If anything gets trapped, I'll pray for their soul and kill it. I wish I could avoid killing. Oh! Silly me, I totally forgot about the spear. I'll make it at home afte... "

Felix was about to say something but out of nowhere, something pierced his body. It was truly painful. The unknown force wiggled Felix's body and tossed it aside. Felix's tiny body was ripped apart.

Numbness was spreading across Felix's body. When Felix realized he was dying, he bitterly smiled...and said...

"When I wanted to die, You never allowed me to die...And when I choose to live? You make me die... Wish I could at least pass away knowing my killer...This is it. This is the end, isn't it? Blood keeps dripping to the floor beneath me, doesn't seem that much though. Hundreds of drops like a crimson rain of death. Yes, this is it, this is the end. Goodbye...Goodb......"
