Chapter 22

*Esmer's POV*

"What are we gonna do?" I asked Austin, but he just stood there speechless.

"How did this happen?" Austin asked referring to the dancer with a sprained ankle.

"I was trying my solo, but I skipped a step and hurt my ankle", the dancer said holding her ankle.

"Oh my goodness Sofia. Let's get you to a doctor. Someone get this girl to a doctor", Austin instructed. I guess the dancers name was Sofia. Austin had sat on the floor and put his face in his knees.

"It will be ok Austin", I patted his back.

"What am I suppose to do now? She was the lead dancer", he really had started to worry.

"Can't you tell your agents to find someone? There are tons of talented people here in Ohio", I tried to make him know it will be ok.

"No. Nobody can learn her dance in time for the concert. I have to change it now. I don't know how I'm going to do it". He layed his head on my shoulder.

"We can try it without her. It will hard, but we'll try", a dancer suggested.

"You can try", Austin answered.

*Austin's POV*

The dancers had tryed to rehearse, but it was difficult without Sofia, because she usally led them. They tried and tried, but couldn't get it. They would only last for about 30 seconds then someone would mess up and the music would stop. My head was faced away from the stage and thinking of how we could make this work. The song had started, but it had kept on going for longer than it usally did. I was surprised and turned around. I guess they had figured out how to do it without the extra person, until I noticed Sam on stage. What? She knew all of Sofia's steps and did them perfectly. I made them cut the music and jumped on stage to Sam.

"I'm sorry I just..... I'll..uh..get off the stage", she stuttered.

"No. Sam you actually know the steps! How did you learn them?!" I asked excited.

" I pick up on dancing very easily. I saw Sofia dance it many times in New York. I even practiced with her a little bit. Dancing is something that is in my blood from my dads side".

"Can you please perform on stage with us? You can really help save my concert. Your really good and I know you can pull it off", I begged.

"I don't know I have never performed in front of anyone before", she seemed unsure.

"I'll pay you, please. I need your dancing skills".

"Okay, but it will take me awhile to get used to being in front of a big crowd", she explained.

"Thank you so much. Do u mind practicing now?"

"No problem just let me get dressed into something comfortable to practice in", she said.

"Is Shawn ok?" Brent and Cameron entered the room looking very pale.

"Yeah he seems fine", Esmer pointed to Shawn.

" The question is are you ok? You guys look terrible and why wouldn't I be fine?" Shawn asked.

"The burrito we ate on the bus got us sick. How aren't you dying like us?" Brent questioned.

"I didn't eat it, I saved it in the fridge for later", Shawn stated.

"Oh well lucky you", Cameron said.

"Okay I'm ready", Sam had returned really fast. She was wearing a black sports bra and sweatpants

"Alright let's get started". We had rehearsed for about 3 hours and everybody was dancing perfect. Sam had added her own moves on her solo. Thank goodness she filled in for Sofia, I don't know what I would have done.

*Jack's POV*

I had watched Sam dance and was impressed. She was really good, body rolling and moving her feet, and break dancing. It honestly had turned me on. I was drooling over her the entire practice. Whenever Austin had called a break I followed her to the snack table. She was eating an apple, I snuck up behind her and wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her close to my body. She had gotten startled and I knew why, it was because my friend was poking her. I whispered in her ear "You got some good moves babe". "Thank you", she replied in a scared tone. "It's okay babe don't be scared of him", I said referring to my friend.

"It's just uncomfortable", she lowly mumbled.

"Well you'll see it sooner or later", I said and walked away.

*Shawn's POV*

We had finished rehearsal around 5. Since we all still had energy we decided to explore around town.

"Lets go to the mall. I heard it is awesome", I suggested.

"Yeah it is, they have amazing deals and clothes. We were having a blast,until we got kicked out", Esmer mummbled the last part.

"Wait what? Why did you get kicked out?", Carter asked hearing her mumble.

"A girl spilled a drink on me on purpose and I got mad. Sam tried to calm me down, but then the girl called her a bitch, which made her yell loud causing attention to us. The girls had made a big scene and then we got kicked out.

"Did you throw a punch at least?", Cameron asked exited.

"No they kicked us out", Sam said rolling her eyes.

"I never took you two as the fighting type", I stated pointing at Esmer and Sam.

"We really aren't, but if we need to defend ourselves we will", Esmer explained.

"If you get in a fight Jim will have to remove you from the tour. We can't have any bad publicity", Austin said directing to Esmer.

"Okay we'll try not to. Geez", Esmer was clearly annoyed.

"What?" Austin asked.

"Stop being so Mr. responsible. Have some fun for once".

"I'll have you know that I am very fun", Austin protested.

"Prove it", I said.

"Ok give me anything you got", Austin put his hands up.

"Paintballing. Your team against mine. Loser buys dinner", Esmer announced hoping it was a challenge for Austin.

"Is this your way of asking me to dinner? Just save yourself the trouble and I'll buy us dinner", Austin joked to Esmer.

"No I meant buy all of us dinner", Esmer blushed. Austin had always made her smile.

"How about if I win you come to dinner with me?" Austin asked.

"And if I win?" Esmer asked.

"I'll buy everyone dinner".

"Deal", they both said shaking hands in agreement.
