Chapter 12
Sulli was humming a tune when she saw feet coming towards her direction. When Sulli looked up, she was startled to see Minho, catching his breath. His face has that intense angry look.
Sulli gulped as she took a bottled water and gave it to Minho.
“Oppa, here. You must be thirsty.” Said Sulli.
Minho took the bottled water and then put it on the bench again.
“What are you doing here?” asked Minho.
“I…couldn’t remember where the Tennis court was.” Said Sulli.
“What? This is not a big school Sulli.” Said Minho. “Why are you here?”
“I…felt tired. That’s why I rested for a while.” Said Sulli.
Minho sighed.
“I thought something bad happened to you.” Said Minho.
“You were worried?” asked Sulli.
Minho looked at Sulli. Why does her eyes look a bit swollen?
“Yeah. I was.” Said Minho. “Don’t go running away like that. Don’t go missing suddenly.”
Sulli smiled faintly.
“I always keep being a burden to you, Oppa.” said Sulli. “How can you stand me?”
Minho narrowed his eyes. What is the matter with Sulli?
“You’re stubborn. But you are a sincere person, Sulli.” Said Minho. “So why wouldn’t I stand you?”
Sulli nodded. Sincere. That sounded really nice. It made Sulli’s heart swell. Hearing it from the man who has made her feel all sorts of things made it extra special.
“Yeah…I guess I also have some strong points together with the bad.” Said Sulli.
“Are you ok?” asked Minho.
“Ummm…yeah.” Said Sulli. “Why won’t I be?”
Sulli took a deep breath.
“You should go back to playing Oppa. They’ll be looking for you there, especially Eonnie. She seemed to have missed playing with you very much. I’ll be there shortly. I just like the view here…the clear sky is so nice.”
Minho stepped closer to Sulli as he put both his hands on Sulli’s cheek raising Sulli’s face until it’s just two inches from his.
“Did you….cry?” asked Minho.
“Huh?” Sulli was surprised by Minho’s action that she gulped.
“Why are your eyes swollen, Sulli?” asked Minho.
“Oh…no it isn’t…I mean. No I didn’t cry, Oppa.” Said Sulli.
Minho slowly let go of Sulli.
“Just go back there, Oppa.”
Minho sat on the bench. He patted the area where Sulli sat earlier inviting Sulli to sit down beside him.
Sulli furrowed her eyes as she sat down.
“Let’s see how clear the sky is.” Said Minho looking up.
Indeed the sky is clear with all the stars above.
“It’s nice isn’t it?” asked Sulli.
“Yeah…” said Minho.
