Chapter 1

This is the third time you had knocked on Fei Han's door.
You started running out of time.

"THE TAXI IS HERE HURRY UP!" you shout at the phone.

The door flung open, Fei Han was a mess. "Seriously? Can we get a move on? We can brush your hair in the car."

Fei Han attempted to pull her large suitcase out of the house door. It was clearly heavy so both of you pulled it to the taxi together.

You both finally sat in the taxi on the way to the airport.

"Fei! I purposely told you to wake up earlier as I know how slow your are!"

"My alarm didn't ring! It's not my fault my phone hates me..." She pouted.

You snatched the phone out of her hand.

"YOU SET IT FOR THE WRONG DAY! You-"

"Did I actually???" Fei face palmed herself. You both filled the taxi with laughs.

"Thank you!" Fei han thanked whilst paying the driver followed by both of you exiting along with your luggage. You swiftly entered the airport, catching the flight on time and flew your way to a new chapter of your lives.

"You have reached your destination, please stay seated until directed."

"We're here-
Fei?" unwittnessing the moment of landing, Fei han seemed to be landing her own dream accompanied by embarrassing snores.
"Hey!" you tapped her face.

She turned to the other side of the seat. "If you don't wake up... I'll bite you!"

"I'm up, I'm up! Up and ready to go! Woah, wait we're here already?"

Time was passing, you guys managed to collect your belongings and exit the airport to which you entered the beautiful city of Shanghai.

You were taken by a bus to the closest stop to Fudan University. Only a five minute walk was needed.

You both stood, took a deep breath and took your first step onto campus. It was wonderful and more than you can imagine. The bright blue sunny day just complimented every inch of it.

All the new students which had arrived were given a map of the campus and directed all of you to the apartments on site. You two rushed with joy to drop off your luggage.

You both agreed to visit the canteen to satisfy your growling stomachs with lunch.

"Woah~ look at all the variety..." Fei Han almost drooled whilst taking a food tray from the pile.

"That's it... I'm gonna get fat!" You said trying close your hanging jaw.

After being served your picked dishes, you collected after paying to then make your way to an empty table with pace before it got occupied.

"WOAH there! Slow down!" A boy with a cute face dodged your food tray.

"I'm so sorry!" you apologised straight away and embarrassed.

"It's ok! I'm more glad you didn't drop your food! It looks like a good portion!" he chuckled with you both witnessing his adorable eye smiles.

"I'm Fei by the way... Just incase you didn't notice." she smiled jokingly.

"Of course I noticed you! I'm Li Wei!"

"Nice to meet you! She's my best friend (y/n)!"

"I can speak myself you kno-"

"You shouldn't let your food get cold..." Li Wei smiled.

"Oh, come join us!" you invited him to sit with you, his brief kindness made you two feel really positive already.

"Are you sure? I don't want to intrude..." he scratched the back of his head.

"Not at all!"

You all warmly sat around the table to eat whilst conversing.
"So how long have you been here?" he asked genuinely.

"We just arrived! We are freshman. And you?"

"Oh cool, I'm a second year student in finance."

The conversation continued until you finished eating your meals. "I'm going to head to the library now, I'm not sure what your plans are but if you want to tag along I have no problem." Li Wei stood up tucking his chair under the table.

You both nodded, returning your trays to the trolly. You and Fei Han followed Li Wei to the university libary. You both walked in with delight all over your faces.

"Oh Nian!" Li wei noticed someone within the library seeming to have difficulty in catching their attention. "Psst, Nian Zehn!" he waved again. He gestured you two to follow him properly.

There was a very pretty girl sitting at one of the table with her eyes following each word on the page. He sat down to see if she would notice.

"I know you're there give me one second to finish this page." she didn't raise her eyes. She was determined to complete this topic before taking a break. She suddenly closed the book and rose her head. She noticed you and Fei Han standing arkwardly.

"Oh hello.. Sorry, I didn't realise I kept you waiting!" she stood up bowing her head whilst tucking her hair behind her ear. "My name is Nian Zehn, what are your names?"

You both made sure not to make her feel guilty, you both introduced yourselves and sat down at the table. "This is random but I am half Korean, half Chinese so my Chinese isn't 100% perfect." she explained even though her Chinese seemed excellent.

During your conversation with Nian Zehn, an insignificant disruption occurred breaking your thoughts.

"Excuse me." An extremely handsome guy politely asked.

"W-what?" Your heart fluttered and you didn't even know who it was. He was really tall on top of it. Probably around 188cm.

"I can't get past..." He replied with a blank face.

"O-Oh right, sorry..." you pulled your chair closer to he table.

"Hey! Couldn't you just have gone round?" Nian exclaimed.

"The book I was searching for is right behind her so it wouldn't have made a difference." he grabbed a book and walked over to the receptionist desk.

Fei Han nudged your shoulder as you started to space out, "What the heck, (y/n)?"

"Who is that guy...?"
